I found that each time I opened my camera and filmed Jerusalem, its image was overtaking what I wanted to express.
I think this takes a lot of courage and integrity to find your own voice and way to express not only your story, but the reality you are setting it within.
I would like to find a more precise way to not only tell the stories of female characters, but also do so in a female "way." My biggest advice would be to trust yourself.
I feel that we should try and understand how we as women storytellers have often fallen into the mode of telling stories in the ways in which traditionally men would. I often find that my points of view are expressed by male characters.
