Robert Todd Schilling was an American businessman and politician who served as a U.S. Representative for Illinois's 17th congressional district from 2011 to 2013. Schilling was a member of the Republican Party. Schilling challenged incumbent Democrat Phil Hare in the 2010 election and defeated him by ten points. In the 2012 election, he was defeated by Democrat Cheri Bustos. In 2014, he ran for his former seat but lost again to Bustos.
