One of the most important things that we as Christians can do is regularly fill our hearts and minds with God's Word. Bible Gateway is one great tool available that makes reading and studying Scriptures readily available to each of us at any moment.

Truth cannot be given to you; especially if you are following an organized religion, then truth will be as far from you as darkness is from light. Truth is not found by observing rituals, undertaking pilgrimages or reading the scriptures. It is simply a waste of time.
My personal view is that reading has to be balanced. Obviously, there's a certain amount of reading that we have to do academically to continue to learn and to grow, but it's got to be balanced with fun and with elective reading.
