What keeps us playing our parts and going round and round the three lower worlds is not a Divine dictate, but ourselves, our own will-to-live, which comes from within ourselves.
Many of us live our lives out of the fear of what other people think of us. We're waiting for someone to give us a permission slip that tells us it's OK to be ourselves. Don't try to be fearless or pretend you aren't impacted by fear. Just try to prevent fear from making your decisions for you.
Our doubts about ourselves cannot be banished except by working at that which is the one and only thing we know we ought to do. Other people's assertions cannot silence the howling dirge within us. It is our talents rusting unused within us that secrete the poison of self-doubt into our bloodstream.
