I've never really been single! I'm a serial monogamist. Ever since I was allowed to hold a boy's hand, I was like, 'Oh my God! We're boyfriend-girlfriend. We're together!'
I am definitely a serial monogamist. I can count on one hand the number of guys I've been with.
I've never been someone who dates all that much - I'm more of a serial monogamist.
I am a serial monogamist of sorts, and have been with my girlfriend for almost four years. In imagining my brain back to worlds where I might be around someone other sexed in that way and not know them that well, speaking out loud almost seems like requiring of demon language, or money spurting.
In some ways I'm oddly traditional, I've been a serial monogamist since I was 12. I've always tried to work hard and get good grades and be a good person, but I feel like I've also always had a strange defiance of authority or the status quo, I've never understood why things always have to be just one way.
I've always been a serial monogamist.
I had a girlfriend when I was about 13 but we didn't stay together for very long and I've not really been out with many people since. I've still never had a serious girlfriend but I would happily go out with someone if the right girl came along.
That's my boy; me and Webbie been together since we were teenagers. Since I was 15, 17 years old, we been in the studio together. We from different hoods, but we been in the studio together, you know. Basically we like brothers.
I've never really been on a date, because I've been with the same girl since my early twenties, but on our first date, I showed her The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I was like, "Hey, you've got to see this!" And we've been together ever since.
How do you go on knowing that you will never again - not ever, ever - see the person you have loved? How do you survive a single hour, a single minute, a single second of that knowledge? How do you hold yourself together?
The more time went by, the more something just happened, an Oh my god - I want to love someone freely and walk down the street and hold my girlfriend's hand.
I wouldn't say I'm a serial monogamist ... I mean, I went through periods of time when I was, ah, single. But when I'm in a relationship, I'm in a relationship.
It's been nice not having a boyfriend. I could be in a relationship if I wanted to be, but I haven't finished doing what I'm doing. I like boy, a lot. I'm boy crazy. That hasn't changed since I was very young.
I think the single biggest thing that money gave me-and obviously I came from a place where I was a single mother and it really was hand to mouth at one point. It was literally as poor as you can get in Britain without being homeless at one point. If you've ever been there you will never, ever take for granted that you don't need to worry. Never.
I've been a serial monogamist my whole life so I think at this point I'm just going to take a break.
How many relationships have we been in where its like, are we together, are we boyfriend and girlfriend? What does that even mean? We're too scared to ask the question, we're afraid of the answers. It's a learning curve.
You know the reason The Beatles made it so big?...'I Wanna Hold Your Hand.' First single....brilliant. Perhaps the most...brilliant song ever written. Because they nailed it. That's what everyone wants. Not 24/7 hot wet sex. Not a marriage that lasts a hundred years. Not a Porsche...or a million-dollar crib. No. They wanna hold your hand. They have such a feeling that they can't hide. Every single successful song of the past fifty years can be traced back to 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand.' And every single successful love story has those unbearable and unbearably exciting moments of hand-holding.
