I've actually picked up a lot of good habits from just watching film from Demetrious Johnson.
Obviously I'd love to see Demetrious Johnson, you know, 'Demetrious Johnson $500,000 payout baby,' absolutely.
The general public, they get bored. There's no interest because they think, or they know, Demetrious Johnson will always win. And I've always said, even after that loss to Demetrious Johnson, even after he beat me, I said I felt him a little bit. I still believe I can beat him, even after being knocked down the first round.
I was chasing that Demetrious Johnson fight. It just really didn't seem like it wanted to work itself out.
People like to call themselves fans of fighting and fans of the sport, but if you're a fan of fighting, how can you not like watching Demetrious Johnson? He's the best at it. He's the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. Why wouldn't you enjoy watching that guy perform? He does a phenomenal job every time he's in there.
I think T. J. Dillashaw and Demetrious Johnson - I'm a bad matchup for both of them.
I actually grew up watching 'Survivorman' and Bear Grylls. I know that pine needles are a good source of vitamin C and just random facts from watching the stuff.
I'd like to see him fight at 135 for the championship. I want to see how good Demetrious Johnson is or how far he could take it.
One time, I think it was my third lesson third or fourth lesson. Kim Parker and he picked me up at the bus station. And she just said, "Phil [Wood] has been up all night. He's heartbroken. Bud Johnson died last night." And Bud Johnson, like Zoot [Sims] and Al [Cohn] had been mentors to him.
I think Valentina Shevchenko has a great chance of breaking Demetrious Johnson's record of 11 straight title defenses.
I believe in my skill 100 percent, that I can go out there and beat Demetrious Johnson and give him the best fight there is.
All I can do is make sure Demetrious Johnson does the best he can on fight night and goes out and wins his fights.
I just know that after I help somebody and I see it made a difference, I feel good. I understand that a lot of people aren't as fortunate as others. It's just instinctual for me. I don't know who I picked it up from, but I love to do it a lot.
Oddly enough, I've always - I've never actually seen "The Alamo" itself, actually. So I don't really have the association of "Green Leaves of Summer" as being "The Alamo" theme. Oddly enough, I grew up watching kung fu movies. They would use the theme "Green Leaves of Summer" in a lot of needle drops in kung fu movies a lot. So I was actually more familiar with it in a Bruce Li movie than I was actually from the John Wayne film.
I've always been quite good at watching someone do something and then picking it up, so I turned that talent to watching people on the film set, and just saw how small everything was and how intimate the scenes could be.
Habits are learned. And children learn their habits by watching what we do, not by listening to what we say. So we have to stop talking and teaching and preaching and just go do.
I'm the one. I know I'm the one. I have the style, I have the wrestling. I know I'm the one to beat Demetrious Johnson.
