I think of the Ramones when I think of music that can save your life, but I'm not so sure about a band like Fall Out Boy who appears to make music in vein or that, at least, doesn't sound like something they would die for.
I kind of always wanted my own music to just sound like, like me, I suppose, like if I was music it would be the music I make, I think.
I don't know if it's possible to affect my ego any more. There's no room left. For me, I think I make music like the way I think it should be made, like what rock should sound like. But I think it's nice when you eventually do come back to it. It's like coming home, and you realize it wasn't so bad after all.

All music done, as I said, through low res mp3 and $5 earbuds and so I think as a producer or a band you want your music to sound good in that medium.
