A Quote by Abraham Lincoln

Discipline is choosing between what you want now, and what you want most. — © Abraham Lincoln
Discipline is choosing between what you want now, and what you want most.
Discipline is remembering what you want most, not what you want now.
Most players, they want to be coached, they want discipline, and they want an environment in which they can play their best.
Isn't that how it is when you must decide with your heart? You are not just choosing one thing over another. You are choosing what you want. And you are also choosing what somebody else does not want, and all the consequences that follow. You can tell yourself, That's not my problem, but those words do not wash the trouble away. Maybe it is no longer a problem in your life. But it is always a problem in your heart.
That most of you say you want to be successful, but you don't want it bad. You just kinda want it. You don't want it badder than you wanna party. You don't want it as much as you want to be cool. Most of you don't want success as much as you want to sleep!
Today, people no longer go out with a total look or ensemble taken straight from the runway. Customers mix and match between labels and between price points. The idea is to create something for yourself: what you want, and how you want it. I realize that shoppers want more flexibility and choice now.
Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now. Write down what you want most and see it often.
Millennials want to find meaning in their work, and they want to make a difference. They want to be listened to. They want you to understand that they fuse life and work. They want to have a say about how they do their work. They want to be rewarded. They want to be recognized. They want a good relationship with their boss. They want to learn. But most of all, they want to succeed. They want to have fun!
The attitude you have right now is the one you are choosing. Is it the one you want?
Through discipline, discipline is the other side of discipleship. If you want to follow Jesus, you have to have discipline.
Picking roles, my way of choosing them is vastly different now than it was a long time ago, but I can only be that way now because of what I've learned from the past. So I'm choosing now not to choose any work, because when you've had such a nice ride, unexpected rides and fulfilling rides, you really don't want to take a step backwards. It's really made me satisfied in a way that I wasn't looking for, but I was blessed with it and now I feel really full, in a good way, where I don't need to rush out and go find something.
Waiting is a state of mind. Basically, it means that you want the future; you don't want the present. You don't want what you've got, and you want what you haven't got. With every kind of waiting, you unconsciously create inner conflict between your here and now, where you don't want to be, and the projected future, where you want to be. This greatly reduces the quality of your life by making you lose the present.
I don't want fame as far as the tweeting or the image of it. But, the idea of being famous is actually exciting to me, just because then you can have a choice in what you do. I would like to be at a point where I'm not asking for parts anymore, and I'm actually just choosing between a part that I want to do.
Choosing between the 50 m and 100 m is like choosing between your children. I have favourites on different days.
Most of us don't mind doing what we ought to do when it doesn't interfere with what we want to do, but it takes discipline and maturity to do what we ought to do whether we want to or not.
I think choosing between men and women is like choosing between cake and ice cream. You'd be daft not to try both when there are so many different flavors.
Freedom is choosing your responsibility. It's not having no responsibilitie s; it's choosing the ones you want.
