To allow your organization the permission to fail is a very powerful thing. If we want to really be thought leaders and industry leaders, it doesn't come without taking risks. We're not afraid to take those risks that will get us to a better place.
Leadership is a choice. It's not a rank, it's a choice. I know many people who are at the top of their organization who have authority. We have to do what they say because they have authority over us. But they're not leaders. We wouldn't follow them. They may be at the top of the company but they're not leaders.
Leaders in an interconnected organization must be comfortable sitting in the middle of a network, not at the top of an org-chart.
It is improper for one person to take credit when it takes so many people to build a successful organization. When you try to be top dong, you don't create loyalty. It you can't give credit (and take blame), you will drown in you inability to inspire.

You have to work and think about how we can make this world a better place for all. This is what I'd really like to ask our young leaders. We will try as leaders of today to minimise the problems which we will hand over to you. But it is to you. You have to take ownership and leadership of tomorrow. For that to be possible, you have to strengthen your capacity and widen your vision as a global citizen.
If an organization values innovation, you can assume it's safe to speak up with new ideas, leaders will listen, and your voice matters.
