I feel like I've been in love, but I have stood aside from it over and over again in my life. It's all you want, but it's terrifying. — © Adam Duritz
I feel like I've been in love, but I have stood aside from it over and over again in my life. It's all you want, but it's terrifying.
I feel like the older I get, the more I start to think about life in general. All the clichés that people tell you, the ones that you hear over and over and over again, there's a reason they're cliché, there's a reason you hear them over and over again, because it's all true. As much as you don't wanna hear it, it's true. You'll find out later on, like "Man, they're all right."
I've said multiple times, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again that I want to play for one team my whole career.
I certainly feel fortunate in my career to have been able to continue to work in different mediums. I don't ever want to be the guy who gets really good at one thing and just does that over and over and over again.
I have a tradition of working with actors, over and over again. I've worked with Jason Bateman, over and over again. You get to know an actor, and you get a certain trust and a comfort, and you become really good friends, and you feel like you've got a short-hand.
I have things I say over and over again, for sure, but I've never wanted to make an album or really go on the road. I don't want any traction. I just want to be able to express myself and to feel love.
I've been very lucky with my career and don't feel like I'm being typecast in the same role over and over again.
I want to focus on each scene. I'm a real perfectionist, and I don't want to feel like I didn't consider every possible variation of a scene. I come from a theater background, so I'm used to a lot of repetition, and I'm used to really attacking something over and over and over again.
I'm a big fan of films that I grew up on and would watch obsessively, over and over again. If I didn't feel like I got everything on the first watch good, I want to see it again immediately.
Hopefully with everything we do, we'll tell stories that make people feel a little less alone and like they're going to be okay. That's what we seek out in the movies that we love and that we watch, over and over again, so to offer that to other people is where we want to be.
You don't have to do anything! If you enjoy life at this level, if you feel this is the ultimate for you, you can have this experience over and over and over again!
It's true, we tend to write about the same thing over and over again because this is our trauma. If I had been in World War II, I might have been writing about D-Day over and over again.
A lot of people have found the idea of living your life over and over again absolutely terrifying; there's some people that find it very comforting. There are others that are appalled by it.
I have a long love of superhero films, and I'd been saying over and over again to my agents at CAA that I'd like to do one.
It's assumed that if you're a woman, you want to be the prettiest version of yourself. It always put me in a bad mood. It was like, "OK, I'm successful. I'm supposed to be happy. Well, why aren't I happy?" Part of the problem was that my looked-at-ness had become a priority over my art making. Over and over again it was like, "I don't have time for this. I want to work." I love writing. I don't love somebody putting false eyelashes on me.
I feel like I'm a great fighter and have been proving it over and over again, running through all types of fighters, and I've passed every test with flying colors.
I feel really fortunate that I've been given a lot of roles that were very different from each other. For me, variety is the key. I don't want to play the same thing over and over again.
