A Quote by Adam Goodes

I'm not afraid of confrontation. It doesn't have to be an argument. We all have a voice. And they are all worth listening to. — © Adam Goodes
I'm not afraid of confrontation. It doesn't have to be an argument. We all have a voice. And they are all worth listening to.
Truth carries with it confrontation. Truth demands confrontation; loving confrontation, but confrontation nevertheless.
I have sometimes called this 'double listening'. Listening to the voice of God in Scripture, and listening to the voices of the modern world, with all their cries of anger, pain and despair.
If you and I are not having a dialogue, when you're having an argument, the reason the argument happen is because we are not listening to each other. Then, the argument comes in, but if we truly listen instead of hearing, argument will not happen. Then, we'll empathize, and then once the empathy kicks in, you will be much more inclining with my viewpoint and I'll be inclining with your viewpoint, and that's what is missing in organizations.
I'm so afraid of confrontation.
Never stop. Never stop fighting. Never stop dreaming. And don’t be afraid of wearing your heart on your sleeve - in declaring the films that you love, the films that you want to make, the life that you’ve had, and the lives you can help reflect in cinema. For myself, for a long time… maybe I felt inauthentic or something, I felt like my voice wasn’t worth hearing, and I think everyone’s voice is worth hearing. So if you’ve got something to say, say it from the rooftops.
Nowadays, if you are afraid of confrontation, you are not going to do very well.
Sometimes I wonder which is worse - confrontational people who are afraid of caring or caring people who are afraid of confrontation.
Avoid stock expressions (like the plague, as William Safire used to say) and repetitions. Don't say that as a boy your grandmother used to read to you, unless at that stage of her life she really was a boy, in which case you have probably thrown away a better intro. If something is worth hearing or listening to, it's very probably worth reading. So, this above all: Find your own voice.
We're just afraid, period. Our fear is free-floating. We're afraid this isn't the right relationship or we're afraid it is. We're afraid they won't like us or we're afraid they will. We're afraid of failure or we're afraid of success. We're afraid of dying young or we're afraid of growing old. We're more afraid of life than we are of death.
Truth demands confrontation. It must be loving confrontation, but there must be confrontation nonetheless.
I cannot do confrontation. You know that fight or flight thing? I'm flight. I just don't want the argument.
I always told myself that if I was going to be given a voice, I might as well say something worth listening to and not something that's just going to feed people stupidity.
Truth always carries with it confrontation. Truth demands confrontation; loving confrontation nevertheless. If our reflex action is always accommodation regardless of the centrality of the truth involved, there is something wrong.
Prayer is - listening for the still small voice of God. Listening with the "ear of our hearts."
By the way, for those who are listening, I absolutely define - I have a face for radio. Unfortunately, I've got a voice for print. So I apologize for the sandpaper you're listening to.
If it's worth listening to, it's worth questioning until you understand it.
