Being able to have the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA is a great honor for us. Being able to speak at the ceremony that announced they were bringing it here was a stepping stone for a young player like me. I'm happy that it's coming to Canada.
To represent a country, qualify for the World Cup, and get a team to perform at the right moment in time would be great honour for me.
I've played at a European Championship; to represent your country at a World Cup is every boy's dream, and for me, it would definitely be a dream come true.
The first time I watched a World Cup game was in 2002. That was the first time Senegal had ever qualified for the World Cup, and it was great moment that I will never forget in my life. I was ten years old at the time, and that experience of watching my country in a World Cup is what inspired me to become a footballer.
I've been through the process qualifying for the World Cup, which is an amazing, two-year process. It was an honor to represent the U.S. and to represent the city of Los Angeles and California.
Anytime I meet people who got to make the deliberate choice, whose parents chose Canada, I'm jealous. Because I think being able to choose it, rather than being Canadian by default, is an amazing statement of attachment to Canada.
I came to Canada at a young age and I've been here for most of my life, so being able to play for this country is a really great experience and joy.
It's something that I dreamed of since I was a kid - to be able to represent my country and play in the Ryder Cup is what dreams are made of.
Canada's a huge country, so to be able to unite the country through communication satellite technology or to be able to observe it through remote sensing technology from space is a natural fit for a country like Canada.
I think as a Canadian hockey player, you go through it in your mind so many times, being able to stand on that blue line and hear your national anthem play and being a gold medal champion, you dream of that. And then to be able to accomplish that and actually win a gold medal and represent your country its an amazing feeling.
It's every kid's dream to represent their country at a World Cup.
I had a great experience at the [2011] World Cup. Unfortunately, we didn't end on the note we wanted to, but I still had an Amazing time representing our country and playing in front of thousands of fans.
It's going to be a massive honour to represent your country, if selected, for the World Cup.
Representing Canada as a hockey player is always a tremendous honor, which also comes with a lot of responsibility. Being able to compete and win a gold medal on our home soil made it a once in a lifetime experience. Capping off the best ever performance by not only the Canadian athletes, but also Vancouver and all Canadians, made for an amazing Olympic experience.
If you are playing in any team or even if you represent your country, some pressure is there. This is a World Cup so all the eyes are on you.
Delighted with the opportunity to represent India at the World Cup. This is a dream come true for any cricketer. I will do all that I can to contribute to a World Cup win.
