A Quote by Amelia Earhart

Flying might not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price. — © Amelia Earhart
Flying might not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price.
It's not always plain sailing... especially when you're flying!
I've had the good fortune of having a long and varied career. Looking back, some might think things have been plain sailing but, as with anything, there have been both highs and lows.
My dad used to tell me, 'Check the price, son.' Check the price, kids, check the price because there is a price to be paid for whatever you do in life, whether it is good or it is bad. Before you do something, ask yourself is it worth the price you have to pay?
In the kingdom of ends everything has either a price or a dignity. Whatever has a price can be replaced by something else as its equivalent; on the other hand, whatever is above all price, and therefore admits of no equivalent, has a dignity. But that which constitutes the condition under which alone something can be an end in itself does not have mere relative worth, i.e., price, but an intrinsic worth, i.e., a dignity.
It was clear that it wouldn't always be plain sailing for me.
Real love, after all, was worth the price you paid, however briefly it might last.
I grew up flying over oceans and moving and sailing.

In my case, if one out of five opportunities is interesting enough to work on, maybe one in five of those ends up being worth doing. That might be a function of risk. That might be a function of price. There are all the variables. But you have to be constantly sorting and choosing and prioritizing.
There is no more thrilling sensation I know of than sailing. It comes as near to flying as man has got to yet - except in dreams.
If true love came at a price, the price would be all worth while if i was spending it on you.
"Smooth Sailing" and "Hall of Fame" are my top two nicknames. "Cool Guy." "Jolly Jon." "Fun Jon." There's a lot of derivatives of Jon. "Cool Jon." Some people took "Smooth Sailing" and "Fun Jon" and made "Smooth Jon." That's a good one. It's just starting to catch on with the general public. Just every now and then, "Hey! Smooth Jon!" Or "You're Smooth Jon, right?!" People aren't quite sure. I'm like, "Yeah." "Okay, cool, that's what I thought!"
What we are doing in the Pacific is we're flying, operating, and sailing wherever international law allows, and the purpose of that is to demonstrate that we are standing up for those rules.
If higher unemployment is the price we have to pay in order to bring inflation down, then it is a price worth paying.
