I'm not really someone who looks forward to the gym. But I realise it's something that I have to do to perform well on the pitch.
I've been able to come back at a high level which is something I'm happy about, not just stand on the pitch but able to perform as well.
I'm really big on the gym and yoga. I'm at the gym at least six days. That is just getting there and creating those endorphins and sweating. And that routine also keeps me grounded in spite of whatever my life looks like.
If a footballer goes on the pitch with the right mentality, he will perform well.
Once you're on the pitch and you've put the shirt on, it's then down to you to perform and play well.
A good attitude is really important. And a sense of optimism, someone who has ideas and isn't afraid to pitch them no matter what level she is. Someone who is proactive. Someone with efficiency and common sense. They don't always go hand-in-hand, common sense and, well, everything else.
I don't necessarily enjoy being at the gym. It's something I have to do, more than something I look forward to doing. But it does enable me to do fun things.
Suarez is like a cheeky boy, he looks like a cheeky boy who can really switch on and off how he wants to be, so that is really something. When he is on the pitch, what is going on around him doesn't bother him.
We need to be strong in order to avoid war; and to win. A politician looks forward only to the next election. A statesman looks forward to the next generation. Any person who is over 30 and is not a conservative, has no brains.
Any surgery done to improve one's looks is not really something someone wants to talk about.
A really good picture looks as if it's happened at once. It's an immediate image. For my own work, when a picture looks labored and overworked, and you can read in it as well - she did this and then she did that; there is something in it that has not got to do with beautiful art to me. And I usually throw these out, though I think very often it takes ten of those over-labored efforts to produce one really beautiful wrist motion that is synchronized with your head and heart, and you have it, and therefore it looks as if it were born in a minute.
I was always told that films were evil and such, but I started to realise what a load of crap it was that something this good should be forbidden. I had been allowed to read as much as I wanted when I was younger, so I recognised great art when I saw it; I just didn't realise it would be at the cinema as well.
As an artist, to release music is what you look forward to. That's what everybody looks forward to when they sign a deal. It feels really good to know I'm actually working towards a release date.
You know, when men perform in combat, they're expected to perform well. That's part of being masculine. And when one of them doesn't perform well, that man alone has let the team down, and that man alone is judged for it.
When I'm in the gym, I'm in the gym, and that is my focus. But when I'm not in the gym, I'm enjoying being a mom and taking care of those responsibilities .. They really do provide me with the balance that I need to be a more complete athlete.
I need to be coming off the pitch every game with my voice gone, and that's something I can bring. I am just someone who likes to organise, make sure everything is well organised, because that makes it a lot easier for yourself too.
Some people can't get access to a gym, some people can't afford the gym. So I used to do workouts at home as well. I just tried to make it more approachable for everybody really.
