A Quote by Anne-Marie Slaughter

Having it all means having the same work and family choices that men do. It doesn't mean having everything that you want. No one has that. — © Anne-Marie Slaughter
Having it all means having the same work and family choices that men do. It doesn't mean having everything that you want. No one has that.
'Having it all,' to me, means having my family, having health, my kids' health, a roof over our heads, everybody fed.
The key thing is confidence, and you get that from the actions that you take. It can be anything from getting chicks, being in a fight, having success at work, having a good family. A lot of that stuff comes from having confidence, so that's one of the biggest things.
Just having the internet is a weird and dangerous thing because people become accustomed to knowing things when they want to know them and not having to work for it. I definitely see the value in not knowing everything and having mystery in life and mystery in people.
Having faith does not mean having no difficulties, but having the strength to face them, knowing we are not alone.
Work is secondary - for me, what's important is having a close-knit family and having someone you can call family.
Loving the church also means having the courage to make difficult, trying choices, having ever before oneself the good of the church and not one's own.
If love means never having to say you're sorry, then marriage means always having to say everything twice.
Having those positive friends around can really make a difference in how you view yourself. It's helped me realize that there's no such thing as having a perfect body, and just because I'm not shaped the same way as another girl is, it doesn't mean I'm not pretty. It just means that no two girls are alike.
Having women work with men is like having a grizzly bear work with salmon . . . dipped in honey.
Having a small house and a close family was part of a philosophy that happened to work out with not having a lot of money.
It doesn't matter about money; having it, not having it. Or having clothes, or not having them. You're still left alone with yourself in the end.
Having the right to happiness means having the right to earn it, not having it given to you without effort and action on your part.
I don't want doctors and patients to be having to - having to literally ration care, take away that relationship by having the government come in and interfere.
For me, having it all doesn't mean having the corner office at work and a penthouse at home if there aren't kids running around as I'm trying to cook my husband something special.
Having a Weim means never having to work alone again. I have two Weims. When they think I've been working too long, they stage an intercession.
I'm somewhat of a socialist in the sense that I believe in housing for the homeless and medical care for all. So, for me, the American dream has been having a TV show, and being successful and having a nice house and having everything.
