I'm a quite erratic person: From setups to actually when I'm doing a track, it's just turning and switching and changing all the time.
With it all independent I feel like we're doing it one person at a time turning people into believers one person at a time. Just that good old-fashioned grind, get out there, touch the people.
The people we live with and work with on a daily basis deserve our full attention. When we give people segmented attention, piecemeal time, switching back and forth, the switching cost is higher than just the time involved. We end up damaging relationships.
I started just naturally turning into a nicer person, and it actually helped broaden and lengthen my career.
My mum was critical in getting me to recognise very early on that although what I was doing was pretty serious, quite selfish, and probably to most people pretty obsessive, there actually was more to life than running quickly twice round a track.
I think I can adapt quite easily from having a Spanish mother and an English dad and growing up in both places. I feel like I've got two lives - that Spanish life, which was so free, and then I lived in England and went to an all-girls, private school and had to fit in with that. That switching out and becoming someone else, I find it quite liberating, actually.
After doing Johnny I wanted to just do something, I wouldn't say innocent, but to not have any care in the world. Lots of setups and horrible happenings but its funny.
Doing that hunt scene was really quite demanding. I actually broke a rib during that scene. And then all the scenes after that became quite challenging, just breathing and laughing.
A person can make himself happy, or miserable, regardless of what is actually happening 'outside,' just by changing the contents of consciousness.
If you want to measure social media ROI, stop wasting your time doing software demos and attending webinars. Just figure out what you want to track, where you can track it, think about both current customers and new customers, and go do it.
I have an erratic drummer for anybody who's just listening to this, he can keep time, but just in spurts.
A person cannot all of a sudden become good at what they do just by switching streams.
I'm so used to changing time zones that I can sleep at any time. I'm rarely ever tossing and turning - if I am, it's really a big deal.
When I look back at the time that's passed, it makes me think that I'm actually quite a strong person.
I think actually performing on stage when everyone's facing you and you're one person facing them, that is quite a lonely thing in a strange way. You have to be quite insular from everybody else, you've got thousands of people staring at you and you're just on your own.
If I'm with a group of people, I'm okay, but actually I'm quite a nervous person if I'm just one-to-one with somebody.
I can change my appearance quite easily just by changing my hair. So I can adapt quite well.
