I do not fear the pressure to win because I spent 14 years in England always fighting for a starting spot, and that's what I want to continue doing.
I consider myself British and have very happy memories of the UK. I spent the first 14 years of my life in England and never wanted to leave. When I was in Australia I went back to England a lot.
I've been an actor for 14 years now and a lot of that time was spent in theatre and television. Then I moved to L.A. to try and build upon that and it's starting to pay off!
People have to fear England and not want to play us. The only way of doing that is to play at a high tempo and win games.
I believe that United really is a very big club on a worldwide scale and even more so in England, where it's the biggest. They always want to win and to be fighting on all fronts, and that's the reason I wanted to come here.
I just want to continue doing what I'm doing, playing well and starting the games - but I want to score, too.
Um, well my main profession is acting and music is what I love doing. It's kind of nice like that in a way because it means I'm under no real pressure with the music. I have got complete creative control and I can make whatever I want. So, that takes a lot of the pressures off because there's no financial pressure. And it's something I've always loved doing.
What you realize is it's not about financial success as an artist. A lot of actors and actresses, producers, writers, and the creative people in the business realize that. It's not about that. Yeah, we all want to be successful, but we all just want to create and we want to tell the stories. We want to continue creating the opportunities to be able to continue doing what we love. So, at the end of the day, I feel like it's a win-win for everybody to be able to make these independent films.
I have played for Real Madrid, which is such a big club and where the pressure is so huge because you have to go and, really, win absolutely every game. There is no game where people don't expect you to win. So, having played there for three years, pressure is nothing that would scare me.
I want to play right back for England. I think that's my spot. I have played there for nine years.
I want to work for Nigeria, my blood is here. I captained this team for 14 years, and it is my country. But you people think if there is no Super Eagles we won't exist. I came from another country to coach the Super Eagles so don't think if we don't win my career is over, no. It's just starting.
I want some help on this. I'm being very honest, i want some ideas, as somebody who was arrested 50 years ago fighting for Civil Rights trying to desegregate schools in Chicago, who spent his whole life fighting against racism, I want your ideas. What do you think we can do? What can we do?
Whether you are fighting for the title or fighting at the bottom, you are always professional and want to win every game.
So much has happened in the past five years, I can't speak for the next five. What I want is to continue to grow. Because I am never satisfied; I always want more. I always want to get better. I always want to climb another step.
I've always been a guy who comes in not being guaranteed a spot and always fighting for a spot. Any time you're in a camp, and you're not a big money guy, you're always going to be competing for a job.
My biggest interest of being the No. 1 pick, obviously the pressure that comes along with that, I would love to have that pressure on my shoulders because I've always thrived in those situations, and I feel like Cleveland would be a great spot to be.
Never let the pressure get so big that you stop cooking and being who you are. I'm going to win or lose doing my food. Because when the pressure's on, you need to do food that you're very comfortable with.
