I began as a striker, then became a holding midfielder, and now I'm a centre-half. I've done everything except play in goal.
Niang is very good in front of the goal, and he's also a quick learner. He is a versatile striker who can play both as a centre forward and as a second striker.
Centre-backs usually get criticised for clearing the ball long, but it's easier doing this than risking a pass. If you lose the ball at the back, it's almost a goal. Most centre-backs don't risk this kind of game, depending on the holding midfielder in front.
It's good that I can play in two positions, as a centre-back or as a holding midfielder, as I just want to get minutes and get games.

I play midfielder, playmaker, even second striker: where I am needed and where I can be most useful.
I loved my time on 'The Mindy Project' so much. It was only supposed to be half a year. It was really only supposed to be one episode, and then it became three episodes, and then it became half a year, and then it became a year and a half, and then it became two years.
I would prefer to play left-wing, striker or even goalkeeper - any other position - rather than sitting on the bench as a central midfielder.
I like centre-half, but I can play centre-mid as well.
I did a play in school. Then Dramsoc became the centre of my universe.
A lot of people ask me, 'What is your goal now that you have done everything?' And I always say that my goal is to not be bored by what I do. The only way that I cannot be bored by what I do is if I play something and it's all new to me.
I first learnt to play football as a striker and it was only when I joined City that I learnt how to become a midfielder thanks to the help I received from the staff at the Academy.
When it became clear that I couldn't stay at Bayern I thought about going to play in Spain or Italy. Fiorentina came forward, they were looking for a striker, and everything happened very quickly.
