You don't need planning permission to build castles in the sky
The best time to start promoting your book is three years before it comes out. Three years to build a reputation, build a permission asset, build a blog, build a following, build credibility and build the connections you'll need later.
I realize that I've had Ian Van Dahl: 'Castles in the Sky,' the Ibiza jam, periodically stuck in my head for years, like years of my life. Every now and then 'Castles in the Sky' will just happen. Maybe that's some sort of indication that it's actually my favorite song of all time.
If you are going to build something in the air it is always better to build castles than houses of cards.
You build dreams, you build castles in the air, and you hope that at least part of that will be realized, even under apartheid.
If you don't build castles in the air you won't build anything on the ground.
Now is our time. It's our time to chase rainbows and build castles in the sky. It's our time to create a life that we love. Because someday, it will no longer be our time.

Even castles in the sky can do with a fresh coat of paint.
You build a thousand castles, a thousand sanctuaries, you are nothing; you build a library, you are everything!
If, before undertaking some action, you must obtain the permission of society-you are not free, whether such permission is granted to you or not. Only a slave acts on permission. A permission is not a right.
Build castles, don't dig graves.
I can't believe people think they need permission to drive. Or permission to do anything.
Tis best to build no castles in the air.
... I see the green earth covered with the works of man or with the ruins of men’s work. The pyramids weigh down the earth, the tower of Babel has pierced the sky, the lovely temples and the gray castles have fallen into ruins. But of all those things which hands have built, what hasn’t fallen nor ever will fall? Dear friends, throw away the trowel and mortarboard! Throw your masons’ aprons over your heads and lie down to build dreams! What are temples of stone and clay to the soul? Learn to build eternal mansions of dreams and visions!
We all need permission to do science, but for reasons that are deeply ingrained in history, this permission is more often given to men than to women.
We need to revisit that planning decision because in many cases across our capital [London], greenbelt land doesn't deserve the name. Car parks, quarries and wastelands are being protected and we are saying there isn't enough land to build the houses we need.
