A Quote by Bear Bryant

Three rules for coaching: 1.) Surround yourself with people who can't live without football. 2.) Recognize winners. They come in all forms. 3.) Have a plan for everything.
If you want to coach you have three rules to follow to win. One, surround yourself with people who can't live without football. I've had a lot of them. Two, be able to recognize winners. They come in all forms. And, three, have a plan for everything. A plan for practice, a plan for the game. A plan for being ahead, and a plan for being behind 20-0 at half, with your quarterback hurt and the phones dead, with it raining cats and dogs and no rain gear because the equipment man left it at home.
Recognize winners. They come in all forms.
The trading rules I live by are: 1. Cut losses. 2. Ride winners. 3. Keep bets small. 4. Follow the rules without question. 5. Know when to break the rules.
Be aware of "yes" men. Generally, they are losers. Surround yourself with winners. Never forget - people win.
It is the beginning of wisdom when you recognize that the best you can do is choose which rules you want to live by, and it's persistent and aggravated imbecility to pretend you can live without any.
When you come from the wrestling world, you are taught to do everything for yourself: market yourself, plan for yourself, design for yourself.
I don't think there are any rules in real face-to-face relationships or interactions. I think authenticity and being yourself is always, without a doubt, the best plan of action. Things happen differently when you're actually here, so you can't put out a general guideline that's gonna show up in text and be interpreted. There are no rules. Just be yourself.
If there is one thing that has helped me as a coach, it's my ability to recognize winners, or good people who can become winners by paying the price.
I love coaching and not just coaching because it's about winning football games, but coaching because you have an opportunity to impact young men and people and that's what I want to do.
Self-managing is Job One. Have a vision and a mission. Surround yourself with talented people. Rely on effective coaching, not managing of employees.
Surround yourself with people you like and respect; surround yourself with people you just want to be around and keep making things.
Surround yourself with really good people. I think that's an important thing. Because the people you surround yourself are a reflection of you.
Surround yourself with good people, surround yourself with positivity and people who are going to challenge you to make you better.
Surround yourself with good people; surround yourself with positivity and people who are going to challenge you to make you better.
Always surround yourself with people who are better than you. If you're hanging around bad people, they're going to start bringing you down . . . But, if you surround yourself with good people, they're going to be pulling you up.
If you surround yourself with the wrong people, if you surround yourself with people that constantly tell you how great you are and never tell you the truth and just tell you what you want to hear, I would imagine it would be very easy to get above yourself.
