But I would like to play for sure until I'm 35, if I'm injury free. — © Bernard Tomic
But I would like to play for sure until I'm 35, if I'm injury free.
I have felt in my head that I would like to play, but then you listen to your body and accept it might be better that you do not play every game immediately after an injury.
I want to play injury-free.
I was 35. I was the oldest female VJ at Viacom ever. I left them, which at least preserved my dignity, because I'm sure they would eventually have kicked me to the curb. I mean, who there is over 35 now? I can't even imagine. On air? I was glad I lasted that long.
I had that small injury on my ankle, but I know that I am not playing like I used to play and like I have to play. So I have to keep working and try to play much better.
Each injury is different regardless of whether it's the same type of injury, so you have to make sure you're doing it right and doing everything like you should so you come back 100% and don't have to go through all of it again.
The only thing I wouldn't like to do is to play roles as a musician. I'm not sure that I would be comfortable doing that, and I'm not sure I'd be very good at it. I think I would be better served, and would be a better partner, if I was in something outside of myself.
A buoyant and full-blooded soul has quick senses and miscellaneous sympathies: it changes with the changing world; and when not too much starved or thwarted by circumstances, it finds all things vivid and comic. Life is free play fundamentally and would like to be free play altogether.
We lived in Colorado, and my parents were outdoorsy mountain people. My father would always say, 'Go out and don't come back until you have something to show me.' Which meant he wanted me to come back with a scraped knee or an injury. When I went out to play, I felt like I'd better get hurt.
Sure, I get tired. But it's a long season, and you've got to play no matter if you have a little injury. I'm that kind of player.
Tennis is a young man's game. Until you're 25, you can play singles. From 25 to 35, you should play doubles. I won't tell you exactly how old I am, but when I played, there were 28 men on the court - just on my side of the net.
I do not like to use the term 'Free-to-play.' I have come to realize that there is a degree of insincerity to consumers with this terminology, since so-called 'Free-to-play' should be referred to more accurately as 'Free-to-start.'
I feel like 35. At 35 you're old enough to know something and young enough to look forward to what you can do with the knowledge. So I stayed at 35!
And I would like current or future politicians to make sure every avenue of diplomacy, and what you have, are exhausted before sending young men and women off to death and serious injury.
Sure, I'd like to play until I'm 40 and even maybe a bit older.
If I have got an injury, I have got an injury. Whenever I want to play for Nigeria, I must be 100 percent, I want to give everything. But if I have got an injury, I don't want to force myself, because I am going to look stupid on the pitch.
I'd like to play free safety. It would be fun to read things out and break on the ball. I definitely would not want to play on the defensive line. I wouldn't want to be down there in the trenches.
