Regardless of who has betrayed you and what promises they didn’t keep- God is firm in His commitment to you. — © Beth Moore
Regardless of who has betrayed you and what promises they didn’t keep- God is firm in His commitment to you.
If either person isn't 100% committed to scale every mountain that comes before you to make your relationship work then you aren't ready to enter into it. That's part of the reason the divorce rate is so high. People are entering into the commitment they're making without having the strength of character, fortitude, and resolve to keep the promises they're making to each other and also to God. We must not pick and choose which commandments we think are important to keep but acknowledge all of God’s commandments. We must stand firm and steadfast, having perfect confidence in the Lord’s consistency and perfect trust in His promises.
Faith is not only commitment to the promises of Christ; it is also commitment to his demands.
It's unbearable to see the people betrayed time and again by politicians who don't keep their promises and by the technocrats at the European Union.
Enjoy the blessings Heaven bestows, Assist his friends, forgive his foes; Trust God, and keep his statutes still, Upright and firm, through good and ill; Thankful for all that God has given, Fixing his firmest hopes on heaven; Knowing that earthly joys decay, But hoping through the darkest day.
God will keep His promises to you as you honor your covenants with Him.
We break our promises to one another. We break our promises to God. But God never breaks His promises to us.
Why is it that we believe God's promises of blessing but not his promises of punishment?
The only limits to prayer are the promises of God and His ability to fulfill those promises.
In the same way the sun never grows weary of shining, nor a stream of flowing, it is God's nature to keep His promises. Therefore, go immediately to His throne and say, 'Do as You promised.'
Sometimes even on an hourly basis we need to keep praying and keep our peace in God and remind ourselves on the promises of God that never fails.
The cross of Christ exists because mankind-loved by God, created by God, set in motion by God-betrayed God and prefers his stuff to him.
If I keep my promises to the Lord, He will always keep His promises to me. He [will] always fulfill His end of the bargain—and much, much more—if I fulfill mine.
