It's just been so heartwarming to see my clothes on people in wheelchairs and people needing physical support.
I love seeing people in their mess. I find that heartwarming. Charm just doesn't interest me. If I want to see charming people, I can watch TV.
I don't think many people stare at people in wheelchairs because we see it regularly. I suppose if you see more in the media it will take away the curiosity.
In Paris they have special wheelchairs that go through every doorway. They don't change the doorways, they change the wheelchairs. To hell with the people! If someone weighs a couple more pounds, that's it!
Mother' is not just about the physical mother but the fact of needing to be mothered, needing to have something that surrounded me.
It's pretty cool just to see the support we have. It's unmatched, Kansas City and the Chiefs Kingdom, the support they have for us. For me to just kind of be in the community and see those people is always a good thing.
Wheelchairs can have a huge impact on keeping people safe, because many who use them cannot move independently. They have mobility restrictions and they're on the floor relying on someone to pick them up. So, when they're in their wheelchairs, they feel a lot safer and more independant.
I wonder whether my bleak-o-meter is set differently from other people's. I have such passion for what I do that I can't see it as bleak. When people use that word, or “grim” or “gritty,” I just think, “Oh, come on, look a bit deeper.” My films don't give you an easy ride. I can see that. The sense I get is that people have quite a physical experience with them. They feel afterwards that they've really been through something.
If today I have been able to sell myself, it's because I agreed to shed my clothes and my inhibitions. And the more clothes I take off, the greater the number of people who come to see my films.
I want to see more young filmmakers, and specifically filmmakers who have a unique voice. I wouldn't mind seeing less of the attempt to force-feed people what others think they want, if that makes sense - whatever the formula is that some people seem to operate under, like needing a certain star, or needing a certain thing in order to get a piece made.
I've been to nudist beaches, like twice. But honestly, I just don't want to see these people naked. Most people look better with their clothes on, and the few that don't, look better than you, so why bother?
Sometimes when you see clothes online you don't quite believe those clothes: you think they've been airbrushed. On 'This Morning,' it's a really good opportunity to see how clothes work in real life.
I see a lot of people dressing very similarly, and I see brands being cool because of their name and because of who wears the brands, but that's always been the case. That's kind of the history of fashion. You know, celebrities wear their clothes and people think these celebrities are cool, and then the clothes become valuable. It gives clothes a commodity factor once a certain individual starts wearing that brand. But do I think there's something wrong? I think what's wrong with the fashion world, particularly men's fashion, is the lack of creativity behind it.
People talk about physical fitness, but mental health is equally important. I see people suffering, and their families feel a sense of shame about it, which doesn't help. One needs support and understanding. I am now working on an initiative to create awareness about anxiety and depression and help people.
It's fascinating to see how far people go to spoil their pets... It's beautiful and heartwarming. Some of it is really silly, but I think it's fantastic.
Just knowing that through my music I actually inspire people is amazing for me and I find it very heartwarming.
It's great to see that kind of support online. For people to be messaging myself, my nan and the rest of my family, all the support has been great.
