Anyone who has brought up children knows that consistency has absolutely nothing to do with discipline. — © Bill Cosby
Anyone who has brought up children knows that consistency has absolutely nothing to do with discipline.
Up to the age of five, children should be given a lot of love. From the age of five to fifteen they should be brought up under strict discipline especially regarding their study. It is at that time that life's foundation is formed. Love without discipline will only spoil them. Above the age of fifteen children should be given maximum love otherwise they may go astray.
Before you start a practicing regimen, you have to be aware that the study of music is a lifelong process-it's a discipline. And the key to mastering any discipline is consistency.

The mark of genius is consistency. Do we hear of naive genius piano players? If anyone knows of one, try listening to it for an hour.
To ensure that children are protected, the abuse and exploitation of children must be brought to light and those who violate children brought to justice.
There is nothing anyone can do anyway. The public has no power. The government knows I'm not a criminal. The parole board knows I'm not a criminal. The judge knows I'm not a criminal.
You have to discipline your children, or they won't respect you, law enforcement or God or anyone else.
Discipline is consistency of action.
[Though computer science is a fairly new discipline, it is predominantly based on the Cartesian world view. As Edsgar W. Dijkstra has pointed out] A scientific discipline emerges with the - usually rather slow! - discovery of which aspects can be meaningfully 'studied' in isolation for the sake of their own consistency.
I was born at Rotten Row in Glasgow and brought up in Loch Lomond near a small place called Gartocharn. And it's a bit like anyone: where you're brought up, you have an irresistible attraction to that place; it defines who you are.
Bringing up children is not a real occupation, because children come up just the same, brought or not.
The whole world is absolutely brought up on lies. We are fed nothing but lies. It begins with lies and half our lives we live with lies.
