The drop shots and lobs are very effective in senior tennis.
Senior tennis is like the younger game in slow motion. It is much more of a backcourt game. The player who had a big game in his prime finds it harder to play that same game as a senior. But any senior who could lob well when he was young can still hit a good lob.
I've been feeling really comfortable on clay because I have more time to set up my forehand. I can use a lot of different shots - drop shots and high balls. You can mix up a lot of shots, so it's actually more fun to play on clay.
People in tennis, they've been in a certain bubble for so long they don't even know who they are, because obviously it's just been tennis, tennis, tennis. And let it be just tennis, tennis, tennis. This tennis world, this tennis community, is very much a bubble, and it's very easy to get lost in here. You know, there is a real world out there still.
Tennis is more than just shots. It's about being clutch and beating the people on the other side of the net.
I think [Otto Porter Junior] just took a couple tough shots so far - a couple tough jump shots - but I think he has a great mid-range game, he's very tall and can create his shot. So, I think with more spacing he'll get easier shots, I think he'll be fine.
If you look at the very best presidents, the most effective presidents, they were always decent salespeople. Ronald Reagan was an extremely effective salesman, very tuned to the people he was selling to, very clear in what he was selling, very resilient and buoyant.
Isn't it funny - why is it called a tennis bracelet? It doesn't seem very tennis, does it?
The game of tennis is incredible. The show of tennis, I think, is very old fashioned.
