Well there are two things: Number one is, make sure you always enjoy yourself, because when you enjoy yourself, you'll learn, you'll want more information, you'll push yourself.
I believe in taking care of myself and teaching other people who want to learn. I don't believe in just printing money and giving money. I'm willing to teach those who are willing to learn. If you're not willing to learn, then go vote for Obama. I'm not Republican or Democrat, so don't get me wrong.
Sometimes it's the toughest moments that you learn the most about yourself, and the more you know yourself, the less you are willing to give away.
When you're challenged to the extreme, you learn so much about yourself. And when you're willing to give that ultimate sacrifice, when you're willing to tackle a job or a task or a mission head-on and give 100%, you can achieve amazing things because you're almost fearless.
Continually push yourself out of your comfort zone. Push yourself to stretch as you try new things each day.
Endure, put up with whatever comes your way, learn to overcome weakness and pain, push yourself to breaking point but never cave in. If you don't learn that lesson, you'll never succeed as an elite athlete.
You must find something you want to live for that's bigger than yourself - a mission - whether it's your children, a business, a non-profit, whatever. That pulls you to achieve, which is far more sustainable than to push yourself to. You can only push yourself for so long.
Be willing to stop punishing yourself for your mistakes. Love yourself for your willingness to learn and grow.
What you do is you're using the other competitors to push yourself, because it's so hard to push yourself.
Don't take the casual approach to life. Casualness leads to casualties. Seek out the mentors that you need that will lead you to greatness in your field. If you're not willing to learn from others, who are you willing to learn from?
And so gentlemen, I learned. Oh, if you have to learn, you learn; if you’re desperate for a way out, you learn; you learn pitilessly. You stand over yourself with a whip in your hand; if there’s the least resistance, you lash yourself.
I think you should always push yourself to want to grow and learn more and be inspired and develop.
The hardest part sometimes is when you don't get the reps and you continue to push yourself to learn and understand what's really going on.
The best way to learn is by doing; never ask others to do what you're not willing to do yourself.
You have to learn to get comfortable being uncomfortable. You have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone and push your limits.
The roles that push you out of your comfort zones are the ones in which you learn a great deal and really empower yourself.
