I'm just trying to go about my business each day and keep a consistent approach and try to win ballgames.
I think if we just stay focused on what we focus on, which is ourselves, playing good ballgames, trying to win every day, don't take wins with us, don't take losses with us, if we just stay with that approach the results are going to be what they're going to be.
I just try to be the same guy each and every day and just do something when we're hitting or make a nice defensive play or run the bases. Just trying to be consistent in that way.
We had no preconceived ideas. We were on this football team to go out and win ballgames and try to win a championship, that's all. To Brian and me, it was no big deal.
I'm trying to win, go out there and get a victory. That's what it's all about at the end of the day. That's what I do each and every game.
There is no secret, you try and never stop trying. If you have to sleep all day, and get up the next day, you keep trying. If you have to take 3 years away, do it and then come back. But it's all about trying. Not everything will work, but some things will, and you have to try.
I just keep trying and failing and I will continue to keep trying to see what I can do to try to keep people engaged in the conversation about our Lord and Savior, man. Really that's all I'm trying to do.
The process is really what you have to do day in and day out to be successful, we try to define the standard that we want everybody to sort of work toward, adhere to, and do it on a consistent basis. And the things that I talked about before, being responsible for your own self-determination, having a positive attitude, having great work ethic, having discipline to be able to execute on a consistent basis, whatever it is you're trying to do, those are the things that we try to focus on, and we don't try to focus as much on the outcomes as we do on being all that you can be.
I'm just here for this one purpose, and that's to try and get better each and every day and try and win as much as I can, while I can.
I'm trying to be consistent as possible each day.
For me, it's about trying to do everything I can to help us win. Try to bring that energy every night, try to make it as contagious as possible and try to win a game.
Usually I try to represent my community and my culture the best that I can, but I go about every day just trying to represent my family. I'm just trying to make a difference out in the world. I don't even look at, necessarily, just the Latin community, I'm looking at everything in general.
If my primary purpose here at Indiana is to go out and win ballgames, I can probably do that as well as anybody can. I would just cheat, get some money from a lot of people around Indianapolis who want to run the operation that way, and just go out and get the best basketball players I can. Then we'd beat everybody.
I just go out and do what I can to help the team win, try and be consistent in having some good at-bats and getting some timely hits and whatnot.
I just go to work every day, spend hours in the film room, go to practice, go home and then do it all again the next day. I know I can be boring and I sound like a walking cliche but I really do just try to get our team ready to win a game on Saturday. That's pretty much my life.
I am tired of hearing about Coach Harbaugh; I think he needs to get in check with reality because, at the end of the day, you can't talk smack about a rivalry when you haven't won a rivalry game. You got to win ballgames to be able to talk behind it.
I'm just a guy that grew up in a total fun-loving environment. I try to create that everywhere I go. Basically what I'm doing is a reflection of me as an individual, me naturally. I'm not staging or putting on anything. I think my approach to the game is an all-out approach, whatever it takes to win. I've always been that way.
