It annoys me a little when people try to be positive when I don't play my best. I play to win. I'm like that. I'm like any other player. I'm never happy. — © Camilo Villegas
It annoys me a little when people try to be positive when I don't play my best. I play to win. I'm like that. I'm like any other player. I'm never happy.
When you are a player, a footballer, or a manager of a great club like Chelsea, you must play to win. To win. To win the title. Or to fight and, at the end, to compete with the other teams to win the title and reach your targets.
I've been a good player my whole life and expect to continue to work hard and continue to do everything that I have done and try not to take any steps back. Try to stay the course and be the best player and the best teammate and hopefully the best leader I can be, and play as well as I can.
Whoever picks me up, I'm going to try and play my best for, to be the best player on the field at any given time.
I never wanted to be like other blues singers. I might like hearing them play, but I've never wanted to be anyone other than myself. There are a few people that I've wished I could play like, but when I tried, it didn't work.
I help my team win. That's overall what I do best. If you watch me play, I'm usually going to be on the winning team. Whether it's scoring enough points or rebounding enough or guarding the best player on the other team, I'm gonna do what it takes to win.
I've never had a plan - it was just to try and get with the people you like to play with, and try to do the best you can.
I learned early in sports that to be effective - for a player to play the best he can play - is a matter of concentration and being unaware of distractions, positive or negative.
When I was a child I had a dream to become a football player. I always played as I played when I was a child. I tried to improve. I never dreamt of becoming a professional football player, I dreamed just to play with the best players in the best team. I never dreamed to be paid to play. I would have paid to play an FA Cup Final in front of 80,000 people in Wembley. I just tried to play the wonderful game that football is. So, I hope young players will still have this dream.
With darts it's just one against one, it's blow for blow. The only thing I could compare it to is boxing. It's dead exciting. You're reacting to each other, the adrenaline's pumping. You don't feel calm at all. But it's all about being able to win when you're pumped up. People say you don't play the player; I play the player every time.
I feel more comfortable where I play for Colombia because I like to be closer to the goal; that works better for me. I can score and pass from there. But as a player, I have to be prepared to play in any position.
Charlie Christian had no more impact on my playing than Django Reinhardt or Lonnie Johnson. I just wanted to play like him. I wanted to play like all of them. All of these people were important to me. I couldn't play like any of them, though.
I play this game to win. I never in my life played to lose. I don't know what that feels like. I don't play like that.
I'm just like that: I just always try to win, to get better, do my best, and it always annoys me to lose.
It is great to play with a player like Eden Hazard. He is one of the best in the world, and I am very lucky to play with him.
I don't really have a 'favorite' person to play with. I like to play with the player that is playing the best, but it doesn't always work out that way.
I don't play any role; I just play golf. I love the competition. For me, the pleasure begins on Thursday morning when a tournament starts. I come along and try to win. And that's what I enjoy.
