My main focus is to help people through music. — © Candice Glover
My main focus is to help people through music.
My main focus is, 'What can I do today to help the team win the ballgame?' You have those blinders on. It helps you focus.
It's really important for me that the people who listen to my music get something that can hopefully help them get through whatever they're going through. Music is the only thing that's able to help sooth my soul in that way, and my goal is to always put things out there that that do the same thing for other people.
I want to touch people with the music and help them through whatever they're going through. That's what music's there for - making people happy.
When I wanted to be a music teacher, I wanted to help people through voice. Now, I get to help people out through song.
If you write your own lyrics now, and those are the main focus in the EP... people tend to approach it as Americana, which is wild. That's what leads people to it. But it's just whatever people want; as long as they like the music.
I think a lot of artists get confused when people like their music; they think that means people know and like them. I'm sure there's an element of truth to that, but to me, the music I make is what I'm most proud of. I prefer to focus on that and for people to focus on the music, too.
Remember you have lots of help. God is meditating in you and through you. The beneficent forces of existence are glad to help you. You can focus on any spiritual teacher. We are glad to help you.
I just love making music. I always stay in the studio. Making music is my main focus.
My music is - I don't want to say my main focus, but it's what comes most naturally to me.
It's definitely complicated, but it's all about the music. When people focus on other things, I think that's when it gets lost, and I would just rather focus on the music of it all.
I view myself as a musician and I focus on music - other people may try to focus on the music, but the emphasis is heavily on visuals and performance. They're both equally valid, but different.
My main focus is playing football and giving it all I got. I'm trying to go out there and make plays and help my team win.
When I give a concert, I know they're not going to hear everything; there might be a lot going on. My individual perceptual and cognitive path through the music is just that: one path through music. My experience will be probably at some level different from other people's, and that multiplicity of experience has to be supported by the music. I might just focus on the cowbell the whole time - maybe I have a fever for more cowbell!
Music can help you through any kind of emotion. It can help you through a break-up, make you dance, or help you realize or understand something about yourself... and if I can sing a song and make someone feel those things then I will feel like I have made a difference.
You can focus on me or on any spiritual teacher. Spiritual teachers who have left the body, who are no longer on earth can help you too. When I leave the body someday, I can help people just as effectively if they focus upon me.
I just know that young people suffer, and I also know music is one of the things that help you get through - music and friends.
