Advice to young writers? Always the same advice: learn to trust our own judgment, learn inner independence, learn to trust that time will sort the good from the bad– including your own bad.
Everything is a learning experience, both good and bad that happen to you. You take what happens and learn from it. That's how I look at everything, the good and bad. You learn about it, and you improve.

Take pictures all the time. Don't worry if you take a bad photograph; you learn more by taking a bad picture than a good one. If you don't like it, study it and figure out why you don't like it. You'll learn from your mistake.
