Pain cannot be ignored. However, it can be endured.
Good pain is pain in the service of a purpose. Bad pain is pain endured because we are resisting a needed growth step.
Pain by itself is merely pain,
but the experience of pain couples with an understanding
that the pain serves a worthy purpose as suffering.
