I have never been over fond of scenes anywhere. — © Chris Bailey
I have never been over fond of scenes anywhere.
Even in the big movies, if the scenes are very big, I'm not fond of them as much as I'm fond of small actor scenes.
I have such fond memories of watching 'Doctor Who' when I was a kid and growing up, that if I've left anybody anywhere with memories as fond, then I feel like I've done my job.
I've been spoilt with 'Emmerdale' over the years. I've had a taste of high drama, action, explosive scenes, emotional scenes and the odd bit of comedy with Bernice.
Despite explaining that it's just a mechanical process, my husband, Sanjay, would initially ask whether an intimate shot was very necessary. I invited him over to the sets when I shot those scenes, but he never came over. I admit that there have been fights over this issue too.
I've been in so many funeral scenes from The Sopranos, and I think I've even been in one on Sons of Anarchy. Those scenes, as a human being, are the most tedious scenes, of all time. You're waiting, all day, in the blistering hot heat. So, I didn't need to be there.
How dear to this heart are the scenes of my childhood, When fond recollection presents them to view.
I'm quite happy to leave it still feeling that way, leave it before it starts feeling like a job. ... I have such fond memories of watching 'Doctor Who' when I was a kid and growing up, that if I've left anybody anywhere with memories as fond, then I feel like I've done my job.
In 'Dark Skye,' I rewrote every one of the Pandemonia scenes over and over before I was happy with them - hundreds of pages are now sitting in a folder called 'Cuttings,' never to be read. Ouch!
Let me completely condemn these sickening scenes; scenes of looting, scenes of vandalism, scenes of thieving, scenes of people attacking police, of people even attacking firefighters. This is criminality pure and simple and it has to be confronted.
. . . you did not seem to me over-fond of money. And this is the way in general with those who have not made it themselves, while those who have are twice as fond of it as anyone else. For just as poets are fond of their own poems, and fathers of their own children, so money-makers become devoted to money, not only because, like other people, they find it useful, but because it's their own creation.
I've always been fond of my heritage, particularly my Irish heritage. But I'm also from all over the world.
I eat healthy - I have never been fond of eating oily food right since childhood.
I literally have never lived anywhere longer than two years in my life. I never just stuck anywhere.
Some scenes comes together really quickly, and some scenes are disasters that take forever. But it sort of works itself out over time.
I've had relationships with people from all over the world, but there has never been enough time in a day for me to have anything other than just close relationships. I've never been one to give myself over to anybody. I don't know what is wrong with me, but it never happened.
The last two days of shooting ('Harper's Island') was probably the most hardcore, the coldest anyone has ever been. It was like your head was freezing, and my motivation for most scenes was, 'The minute this scene is over, I'm heading straight over to that heater to get warm.'
