I don't really go out to clubs, but if I did, I'd just want to go rock out with my mates or whatever. — © Chrissie Hynde
I don't really go out to clubs, but if I did, I'd just want to go rock out with my mates or whatever.
In my life I do whatever is necessary, even if it is something that is not comfortable, or not fun. I just went to Russia, and I did not want to go. I've been to many places I did not want to go, and would have done anything to get out of it, but I knew I had to do it for the good of the planet.
It came time to go to college. My dad said, go wherever you want. Take whatever you want. He just really believed in getting out and being exposed to different things.
I don't really like to go out to clubs or anything. It's just not my style. I'd much rather go to a dive bar or a local place.
My dad is really old school: "Whatever you do, just be the best at it." He didn't really care if I was a plumber or a roofer. It didn't matter what I did. He said, "Go out and find out what you like to do, and be the best at it."
It does matter that it's the Olympics. I just did it my way. I'm not a martyr, and I'm not a do-gooder. I just want to go out and rock. And man, I rocked here.
I still go out, but not a lot. If I go to see music, it's usually to the Blue Note, jazz clubs, things like that. When I travel, I find out where the jazz clubs are.
I really like to have a moment alone at the house, either in the morning or when I come home from work, when I can just zone out at my computer, relax, stare out the window, get into a 'Game of Thrones' episode, go up on my roof, whatever, then go out to dinner.
I approached work very seriously. I never went out. I couldn't fathom people who could go out to clubs... But I definitely went through a time where I was just terrified and exhausted and I didn't really understand. Hollywood... It just got to be too much for me.
I just want to go out and enjoy my game and ensure that I contribute to the team's success, to whatever I was doing before. I would like to continue that if not better whatever I was doing. It's important for me to ensure that we win every time we go out, that's the personal target and team goal.
Sometimes you want to go for a walk and you don't want to be watched. You just want to be anonymous and blend in. Especially when I travel, I feel that way, because I can't really go out and see a city the way other people can and I miss out on a lot.
I think when I start out writing, I always try to write the version of the movie that I want to go see. I don't mean it in a way that ignores the audience, but I really set out to make a movie that I want to see and that, hopefully, other people will want to go see it. So whatever's amusing to me, I guess, I throw it all in there.
People say things to me like, 'It's really cool that you don't go out and get drunk all the time and go to clubs.' I appreciate that, but I'm kind of an introverted kind of person just by nature.
We were great mates. We didn't really go out together because we never really had the time to go out. But we were with each other all the time anyway because we were working all the time. We could sit down and talk for hours, and we still can. We just understood each other.
I'm just going to go out there, and if people want to put me on the front of their magazine or whatever, that's fine. If they don't, that's fine as well. I'm just going to go out there and make my music.
I'm writing all the time, really. It's become a little bit of a problem when I go home. Sometimes I should really go out and hang out with my friends, but what happens is I get really inspired and then just go and mess around on the computer.
I consider myself gay because at the end of the night, that's who I want to cuddle with. But when I go out, I go to straight clubs.
