It's short-track racing. You're going to get that and it's going to happen. I don't know why everybody thought it was the end of the world when wrecks were going to happen. Like I said, with close-quarter racing like that it's going to get heated.
I try to relax and enjoy it. I don't really get nervous, I get excited! I love training, but my main excitement comes from when I'm racing and the better the standard of people I'm racing, the more excited I get and the more 'up for it' I get.
As a competitor, when you have a bad play, all you want is to get the ball again and get going.
I guess it is the sense of personal satisfaction that racing gives you that I am probably going to miss, because in racing you get that feedback very quickly.

You are to become a creator, not a competitor; you are going to get what you want, but in such a way that when you get it every other man will have more than he has now.
Any team that's drafting me, you're going to get the same person. You're going to get a competitor, a guy who's passionate about the game and, even though I'm a rookie, a guy who will try to be a leader to the best of my ability.
Anybody and everybody's going to get it. I'm not racing through my division. I'm cleaning it out. So if you want two L's, you're going to get two L's, and if you're looking for one, come fight 'Blessed.'
I really don't (stay calm) all the time. I just try to. Part of not just racing but in life, I try not to let the highs be too high and the lows be too low. I try to stay somewhere right in the middle. In racing it's not always easy to do. You can get too excited or overconfident when things are going good and it's easy to get too far in the ditch when things are going bad.
Racing is a great sport, but we need people to come along and see that for themselves. Maybe they're not used to going racing or haven't been before, but I think people get a taste for it; they do come back.
Like everyone else, I don't want it to get too far away from the racing because as time progresses, we're trying to get new fans and still keep the old fans and we've still got to have the racing.
I'm a competitor. I'm going to compete each and every day to get better.
NASCAR racing is the highest form of American auto racing, and I've always wanted to be racing in the highest form. I want to accomplish good things in everything I get in every night, but NASCAR is the biggest, most-watched thing in American racing.
Women don't get the same opportunities that men get in racing, so they don't get to learn race craft.
You stay positive. Any competitor is going to get angry with themselves and frustrated, and all the emotion comes on.
I'm a competitor. No matter what I'm doing, whether I'm golfing, whether I'm playing indoor soccer with my fiancé - he's not going to get by me. I'm going to try to do whatever I can to win.
