When I'm training at home, I have five meals for the day that I just heat up. It's all planned, and that's what I eat.
I have a chef come in every day and prepare my meals. There is no way I could do the stunt work, stay up as late as I have to, or be outside in the heat if I'm eating poorly. That means I can't eat craft services!
When I start training, I get very serious and focused about it. I probably train 4-5 days a week, and I eat probably eat 5-8 small meals a day to keep my metabolism going.
Do not skip meals. Eat three meals a day and eat until you feel satisfied and comfortably full.
I eat all of the time... at least five little meals a day.
I eat five to seven meals a day and a couple of protein shakes.

I eat 6 or 7 raw vegetables every day, 4 or 5 pieces of fresh fruit. I eat egg whites each day. If I eat bread, it has to be whole wheat. I eat brown rice. I don't eat between meals. I eat at 11 o'clock in the morning and 7 o'clock at night.
I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia, an abnormal decrease of sugar in the blood. Eventually I learned to eat five small meals a day. Now if I'm making a movie and get hungry, I call time out to eat some crackers

I really had to train myself to eat like a maniac really four or five meals a day until I felt sick, just to keep the weight on.
The problem I used to have is that I would eat in the morning, get busy training, and then maybe I'd have a shake or two throughout the day, but I wouldn't really eat anything. Then, at night, I would just kind of eat a larger meal or two, but by my second training session, I was usually kind of beat up or worn down.
I've changed my diet a few times. Now I'm trying to eat more protein. I eat little meals throughout the day. I love food, so I still give myself great meals. Also, when I'm busy, it's easy to lose weight.
Of course one can't eat in a civilized fashion while touring in theatres. But I still manage to get my three meals a day. I find that is sufficient for training.
I eat more when I'm not training as much. But I get in the gym, and when I feel my gut, I try to eat healthy for some of my meals.
People think that you can save calories by eating fewer meals a day, but it works just the opposite: the fewer meals you eat, the more counterproductive it becomes to you being able to lose weight.
I stick to a Mediterranean diet with fresh produce and olive oil. On a normal day, my diet is divided into the three main meals. I don't eat any other snack between meals during the day.
