I am not like Mourinho. I don't have to win to be sure of myself.
Honestly, I keep believing in myself that I can win a Slam. I am definitely sure I can win one. It's just a matter of putting the pieces in the puzzle.
For me, that's the most important thing, feel myself happy when I am playing. If I am healthy and I feel myself competitive, I am happy. Then is obvious I would like to win. But I know if I am in finals of important events, the normal thing is I finally win titles.
The only way I can meet expectations of myself and what I think I am capable of is to make sure my game is in order and I am doing things that allow me to perform at my best, to make sure my training is good, to make sure I am focused on watching the ball and not worried about the external expectations.
I am like all Portuguese people in that I admire Mourinho a lot.
Sometimes I catch myself stooping, and whenever I am like that, I am sure something is not quite right.
I cannot tell you that I am 100-percent comfortable, but for sure I am more confident of my goals, because I know what I can expect from this kind of event. At the beginning, everything was a mysterious, far-from-me world, and now it's more accessible. Of course, exposing myself is always very difficult. I cannot say that I'm a shy person, but I don't see myself as a superstar. I will never see myself like that.
Sure, Mourinho was obviously crucial for my move to Chelsea.
We know Mourinho can win league titles - he is brilliant at it - but how long can he do it at one club?
Rafael Benitez and Mourinho are coaches with different ideas, but both want to win.
I don't know - sometimes I catch myself being dark, and it's annoying. I think, 'Get over it.' I bore myself. But sometimes, like everybody, I'm sure I am obsessive.
If England had Fergie, Wenger or Mourinho in charge, they would win the World Cup.
I am disappointed when I don't win, because I want to believe I can win on every horse I ride, which is a ridiculous thing to think. Even if I'm on a horse that I have woken up thinking has no chance, by the time I've reached the course, I'll have convinced myself that it can win and will be disappointed if it doesn't.
It is really difficult, after Jose Mourinho, to work at Chelsea. It could cause a problem for any manager because Mourinho had such a relationship with the players and the fans.
Mourinho has taught me to be especially aggressive on the pitch, and now I'm going crazy trying to win every ball.
If you are at United, you need a manager with a winning mentality. We had that with Ferguson. Mourinho has it. He wants to win every game.
Any person I idolise, or I really admire their work, I want to beat them... For me, going through my years, I made sure to idolise myself... So when you're in a race, you have to make sure that you think you are the favourite to win. You have to have that confidence.
