As you get older, things don't work as well. I do Pilates, and that helps.
You got me: I do Pilates. I love Pilates because we do very specific training in soccer for the same six or seven muscles, but we neglect so many other muscles. So when I do Pilates, it helps get all the rest of the muscles in shape and gets them working together.
I am lucky, I don't have aches and pains. I do Pilates regularly, which is a series of stretching exercises, and I recommend it to anyone of my age because the temptation is not to exercise when you get older. Well, you should.
I always have to work on my flexibility to help my back, and Pilates helps the most.
Staying in shape does not come easily, especially as you get older and you don't have as much time or energy to exercise. I used to be naturally skinny in high school and college. I was in cheerleading, ran track, and did gymnastics, so I had a built-in five-hour workout every day. Lately, I've been doing Pilates on the Megaformer, which is like Pilates on steroids.
I've got a rubber face. It has always served me very well and really helps, especially as I get older, because I still have all my road map intact, and I can use it at will.
When you get older, you're bothered, or inspired, by other things in life than a girl breaking up with you. Things get heavier as you get older.
When Pinterest works well, it helps you find things that are meaningful to you. We want to build a system that helps you do that.
Pilates is my favorite meditative way to get in shape. I don't like the gym and I don't like running, so I just lay on my Pilates reformer. It's great.
Pilates helps condition the body without punishing it.
I have a more personal insight into the importance of core strength because my wife Louise runs a Pilates studio in London. I have enjoyed getting into Pilates. I am not the most supple but I enjoy Pilates more than yoga.
Training helps you get physically stronger and a lot of times it helps you push the bar mentally as well.
I enjoy Pilates and I do yoga at home where I get peace and quiet. I think it helps that I don't drink and I never smoked. You see so many young girls smoking and you want to say to them 'it's bad for your skin and health, everything'.
I do a lot of yoga, and that definitely helps. And Pilates is so good for your legs.
I just think that things get easier as you get older and wiser and more experienced. You get more confident about who you are as you get older. I find that really comforting.
The cruelty of nature is you have to work out harder when you get older ... It should be the other way around: Work out hard when you're a kid you should be able to coast when you get older. But unfortunately you have to do more to stay in the same position.
I work out, I go to pilates, I walk and I eat everything I can get my hands on.
