Luck plays an important role in Bollywood. We all work really hard to earn success but our luck has to be on the right side, especially from where I come from.
I do know one thing - while success has a lot to do with hard work, luck also plays an important role.
By working hard, by making the right moves, you can create your own luck, I think. But certainly luck plays a part.
Luck is very important. Of course you can't wait for luck, because it won't come. While you start a journey, luck may eventually come to you.
Luck? I don't know anything about luck. I've never banked on it and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work - and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't.
If you don't meet luck halfway with really hard work, luck won't get you all the way there.
People really don't like to hear success explained away as luck — especially successful people. As they age, and succeed, people feel their success was somehow inevitable. They don't want to acknowledge the role played by accident in their lives. There is a reason for this: the world does not want to acknowledge it either. If you use better data, you can find better values; there are always market inefficiencies to exploit, and so on. But it has a broader and less practical message: don't be deceived by life's outcomes. Life's outcomes, while not entirely random, have a huge amount of luck baked into them. Above all, recognize that if you have had success, you have also had luck — and with luck comes obligation.
I feel luck plays a vey crucial role in determining the success of the book. Marketing a book is also very important. You need to try all tricks in the trade.
A lot of people think that success is luck and being in the right place at the right time. But I think if you’re willing to work harder than anybody else, you can create an awful lot of your own luck.
Luck take a second look at what appears to be someone's good luck. You'll find not luck but preparation, planning, and success-producing thinking.
You create your own luck by the way you play. There is no such luck as bad luck. Fate has nothing to do with success or failure, because that is a negative philosophy that indicts one's confidence, and I'll have no part of it.
Success comes to you with luck and a lot of hard work, but it doesn't give you the right to be any better than anybody else.
When I started 70 odd years ago I was told that to be a success you've got to have talent, personality and luck. I've had 99.9 percent luck and the other miniscule percentage would be having had the luck to have a little bit of talent, being able to stand upright and that's it. It's all luck.
Not everyone who works hard makes their dream come true. You need luck and hard work and being in the right place at the right time but I still very much believe it's possible.
When you get as lucky as I got, you have to work as hard as possible to earn that luck.
It's not about having luck; it's about putting yourself in a position of luck. Meaning, get into a situation where you are with like-minded people who are just as passionate about something as you are, and then work really, really hard.
I'm not a believer of luck. I think opportunity and hard work becomes luck.
