A Quote by Daniel Mason

While medicine creates material for writing, perhaps even more important is that it also creates a psychological and emotional need to write. — © Daniel Mason
While medicine creates material for writing, perhaps even more important is that it also creates a psychological and emotional need to write.
What I find is that many times when I work with chance, with indeterminacy, I am more open to experience, less prone to a fixed process, and I think it creates a very important challenge. It creates a way of writing that is, in a way, flatter or smooth, a surface conducive to release, to movement. And in this way, the form of writing gets delightfully melded with the process of the writing.
I think that's one of the major overriding issues of the day, to deal with frivolous lawsuits. I think it creates a tremendous burden on our economy, a tremendous burden on health care, it creates all of this medicine, which is good medicine. It would be one of the most important things we could do. It, also would help the economy. A tremendous amount of money is taken out of our economy and a tremendous that is created by these frivolous lawsuits.
We need more light about each other. Light creates understanding, understanding creates love, love creates patience, and patience creates unity.
Ignorance of each other is what has made unity impossible in the past. Therefore we need enlightenment. We need more light about each other. Light creates understanding, understanding creates love, love creates patience, and patience creates unity. Once we have more knowledge (light) about each other, we will stop condemning each other and a United front will be brought about.
Synergy is the highest activity of life; it creates new untapped alternatives; it values and exploits the mental, emotional, and psychological differences between people.

Sometimes to write you need to do more than just appear at your desk-you need to take care of the part of you that dreams and imagines and creates. Reading can usually do this for writers, but sometimes you also need to watch films, listen to music, go to an art museum, or see a play. Or just sit outside and soak up the sky.
I think depression creates in me an urgent need to write, but I also believe that daily stress, and even the positive stress of intense happiness, can compel me to express myself through the written word.

Great design is so many things all at the same time. It is emotional, functional, and responsive. It creates an unwritten dialogue, a connection, between itself and those who experience it. It is open to interpretation yet created for a specific purpose. It creates meaning and value.
Social media is incredible: it creates a community that I'm really proud to be a part of, but it also creates illusions and a false reality, and it's difficult to grow up with that.
The psychological trauma of losing a job can be as great as the trauma of a divorce. It creates a lot of anger and emotional hardship. People may become quite depressed.
Nature creates while destroying, and doesn't care whether it creates or destroys as long as life isn't extinguished, as long as death doesn't lose its rights.
The good thing is that with all the projects that I didn't get, I understood that competition is not always negative, it's very healthy. It's also something that inspires you to grow, it creates room and creates space for improvement.
The abstract music is just more interesting because it doesn't really have anything to say, but if it is good, it creates thoughts and feelings, and I enjoy that. For me, once the music creates those thoughts and feelings, I begin to write a song about it.
Meeting important emotional needs creates the feeling of love, but thoughtfulness keeps it alive.
