I like to be in character a good few hours before I arrive for filming.
I've tried watching shows before while I'm filming and it doesn't go good because I binge-watch all night and then I wake up with like one hour of sleep on my filming day.
Rather than arriving five hours late and flustered, it would be better all around if he were to arrive five hours and a few extra minutes late, but triumphantly in command.
Sometimes filming can be grueling when you're shooting the same scene for a week, or you're sitting around for 7 hours a day. They sound like very first-world champagne problems. I don't mean to sound like life is so hard, but filming sometimes is tougher than other times.
While I'm filming, I'm often immersed in the emotions and situations of the character. But when the filming is over, I'm quick to return to my daily life.
I used to work in kitchens, doing 12 or more hours a day of physical labor, so today, eight to 12 hours of cooking, chatting or filming feels like a vacation. When I have a scheduled 'day off,' I spend several hours writing, then I clean until I crash from fatigue. I don't relax well.
The toughest part of acting is never a single thing. It's more like a whole character. I find film really difficult - trying to make it feel like a consistent character when you're filming everything out of order.
I arrive at the theatre four hours before the beginning of the performance. I must get accustomed to the hall even if I know it well.
When filming videos you spend hours getting ready and hours waiting around.
I'm not the biggest fan of airports. I try to arrive a few minutes before check-in closes.
If you watch a stretch of TV for a few hours, there is a good chance you'll hear me on some commercial or in some documentary or on a cartoon as some voice of a character.
It's always a good idea to chill your crab cake mixture for a few hours, or even overnight, before frying because they'll hold together better.
So before we end And then begin We'll drink a toast to how it's been A few more hours to be complete A few more nights on satin sheets A few more times that I can say, I've loved these days.
That was an amazing time period [ CBGB filming] to transport to during filming - the clothes, the music, the lifestyle - it really helps to get into character when there's so much that changes from the moment you step onto the set.
I just really like the characte [Jasper Hale], and I love the story [Twiglight], I think it's a very strong character and I respect him. It's interesting; I respect the character that I play. I don't understand it, but I do. That's a good thing. I think so, I think so. I never felt like that before with a character.
Everyone on my team is different in terms of how long before a workout they prefer to eat. I like to eat my big meal 4.5-5 hours before I play. I usually eat a carb either rice or pasta with tofu or chicken. Around 2 hours before I play to like to eat greek yogurt with a banana.
Like with all the Arabs, they use the 'suspect procedure' on me. I arrive four hours before the flight. They do a body search in a back room behind the curtain and then escort me onto the plane because they're afraid that on the way I might pick up a bomb from someone.
