Democrats can't get elected unless things get worse - and things won't get worse unless they get elected.
Democrats can't get elected unless things get worse-and things won't get worse unless they get elected.
The Democrats are as much a part of the war machine as the Republicans. We can't let Democrats get off the hook because they're Democrats.
Dirksen's Three Laws of Politics: 1. Get elected. 2. Get re-elected. 3. Don't get mad, get even.
As far as the environment is concerned, I am becoming pessimistic because I do not see anybody stepping up and taking the long view approach. It seems like we're stuck in a tragedy of the commons where everyone is trying to contribute as little as possible to get out of this situation.
We all say things when we are trying to get elected.
