A Quote by Dante Basco

When preparing for auditions, I have no rituals. I just try to be as prepared as possible. — © Dante Basco
When preparing for auditions, I have no rituals. I just try to be as prepared as possible.
I try not to have too many rituals because I believe that rituals don't help you win. I used to do rituals a lot and it was crazy.
I try to do two things: locate my fastball and change speeds. That's it. I try to keep as simple as possible. I just throw my fastball (to) both sides of the plate and change speed every now and then. There is no special food or anything like that, I just try to make quality pitches and try to be prepared each time I go out there.
The thing is you never know what you can do until you try it. Even if you try, you still may fail, but that's when you have to go and prepare because if you're not prepared, you're preparing to fail.
Instead of being on teams at school, I was preparing for auditions.
Confidence - Poise and confidence are not possible unless you have prepared correctly. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. Poise and confidence are a natural result of proper preparation.
Forms and rituals do not produce worship, nor does the disuse of forms and rituals. We can use all the right techniques and methods, we can have the best possible liturgy, but we have not worshiped the Lord until Spirit touches spirit.
I don't want to be a basket case on set. I try to sort of quiet all of that, all those thoughts, kinda just let yourself be aware of them when you're preparing to do the work but then once you get there you have to feel as free as possible. Anything that I perceived as something that ran the risk of stressing me out, I just left outside the studio doors because I didn't want to undermine myself.
I just wish people would realize that anything's possible if you try; dreams are made possible if you try.
Twice a year we film the orange juice commercials and at home in our daily life I try to involve the children as much as possible even in preparing meals.
I don't try and be competitive with auditions. When I go on one, I kind of just forget about it.
Rituals, even unhappy ones, provide a measure of comfort. Like a superstitious ballplayer who will only use certain bats, my depression rituals have become a fixed, normal part of my life. ... I need rituals to prevent unnecessarily rocking my already shaky emotional boat.
Rituals are how we step into our private field of dreams, a small Elysium all our own. Rituals are made not just for us, but for those we want to pass them on to.
I don’t feel that this is unfair. That’s the thing about cancer. I’m not the only one, it happens all the time to people. I’m not special. This just intensifies what I did. It gives it more meaning. It’ll inspire more people. I just wish people would realize that anything’s possible if you try; dreams are made possible if you try
When I'm playing the 1-guard, teams do a great job of just loading up and preparing for my drives and preparing for my three-point shots.
Generally I try to be on set as much as possible, especially during the early part of a season. I read all of the outlines and scripts and look at the auditions and the cuts for my other shows and give notes on all of that. There's a lot to do, but I enjoy nothing more than being on set because that's where the magic happens.
When I go to auditions, I try to always make sure I go in prepared. I always think to myself, 'I'm here to provide them with a service. They need me, and if they decide to hire me for this service, I'm going to give them the best they've ever paid for and if they don't, they're dumb.' That's on them.
