A Quote by Davante Adams

Obviously, me being a big part of the offense, I'm going to get more looks here and there, and I'm going to do what I can with that, make the biggest impact I can for the team.
You want to come in and prove yourself early. Obviously, it is a responsibility being drafted that high to come in and play well and to make an impact. If not, youre going to get cut. So you have to come in, make the team, have an impact and do something special. And I feel that, obviously, internally. I feel an obligation to myself to do that but obviously the organization, the fans, this community. I mean, they dont want to see a first-round draft pick be a bust, so I feel I have to come in and hopefully make an impact early.
As you get more experience out there, as you get more comfortable with the NBA system, the offense, the schemes, you begin to understand where you're going to get your looks from. And I think a big part of playing well is not having to look over your shoulder and just understanding that you're consistently be counted on.
I feel like with me being a big part of any offense, then the numbers are going to come.
I remember when I went to try out for the Olympic team in 1972, Coach Iba told me he didn't care how many points I could score because if I couldn't guard anybody, I wasn't going to make the team. I knew to make the team I had to become a better defender. If you can play offense, you can defend. It just comes down to competitive will.
Obviously, people say offense wins games, defenses win championships. But I think, at the end of the day, if you score more points than the other team, you're going to win.
Obviously I think offensively, spacing for me as a guy that puts a lot of pressure on the rim is going to make it harder on a defense. They're going to have to make tougher decisions, and space is going to be way more open for all the guards, too.
Me being young, I'm going to definitely mess up a lot more than I'm going to make the right play, but I want my teammates to be able to trust me and look at me as a veteran guard trying to run the team.
The biggest thing here in WWE is that if they see some really valuable qualities in you, they're really going to do their best to maximize them and put you into the scenarios and into the situations where that's going to make the most impact. For me, they've definitely done that.
I'm never going to sub-contract out jobs for offense and defense. I'm always going to hire people I believe in - and are going to do things our way, that are going to believe in process, that are going to be part of a program.
When I do get in the game, just getting me going. How do you get me going? If that's running plays or things where I can impact and get going. But once I'm in the flow, I'm in the flow. It's hard to get me out of that.
The team that can be consistent - for the most part all year - is going to be the team that is going to get into the playoffs.
I think anytime that you can eliminate the big hit, it's obviously not only going to be good for your team, but it's going to be good for yourself.
You can rely on your team to do their jobs, but you have to carry the torch and do anything you need to, not just to shoot and finish, but to get the film seen. You have to know within yourself that you're going to have to take this. Don't sit back and think other people in your team are going to make it happen now because you've done your part. You have to carry that torch, and no one is going to care as much as you do, and nobody is going to live with it as long as you are because it's your film.
A lot of problems that are going on aren't going to get better if we don't talk about it. Race is the biggest one. It's a very, very uncomfortable topic because the biggest part of America was founded on it.
You know, one of these days, I'm acctually going to take offense if people keep throwing out these slurs. And then things are going to get rather ugly. When we Skandians do take offense, we do it with a battleax.
I'm going to go out there and work hard. I'm going to get better, I'm going to learn from my mistakes and I'm going to be there when my team needs me.
