My opinion is that anybody offended by breastfeeding is staring too hard
People have tried to corner the market on being offended, corner the market on language and corner the market on opinion. Should I lose my job 'cause I offended somebody? No, of course not. Your life should never be affected by public opinion.
For the record, someone will ALWAYS say that you are too big, too thin, too lean, too fat, too whatever. In my opinion, they are too conceited to think that their opinion is going to change our behavior. A person with confidence won't be deterred! Keep after it!
It's pretty hard to offend me. I actually think people are a little too easily offended.
It amazes me how sometimes people can be so thoughtless when they come to give you their opinion, especially around Caesarean sections and breastfeeding.
Once I make a decision, it's hard for me to listen to anybody else's opinion. I make a choice, and I'm like, 'This is it. I've thought long and hard about this, and this is exactly what needs to happen.'
Sometimes, when I've been staring too hard, I've noticed that I could see the circumference of my own eye.
Everyone's opinion is of equal value, which is bizarre to me. It's so hard to get anybody cast because you'll be on the phone with 15 people, and if anybody says I don't know about that guy - move on. Wait a minute, why is that person's note valid? It's such a bizarre process that's sprung up around it.
For me, breastfeeding was even more painful than giving birth. And despite a lactation consultant, I felt incompetent. I forged on, barely sleeping, always either breastfeeding or pumping and never getting the hang of it.
I've gotten stopped for reckless eyeballing, for staring too hard. These officers think they're Tarzan and this is a jungle, that all the animals need to be tamed.
Oh, I offended you with my opinion? You should hear the the ones I keep to myself.
Anybody can have any opinion they want to, as long as it's an informed opinion.
Personally, I think people need to get over this 'being offended' thing. Being offended does not give you the right to silence people. I get offended by things all the time - it's just part of life. The right not to be offended is not a human right, especially in a democracy.
I apologize if anybody was offended by anything I said.
I was raised evangelical, so if you want to get offended, let's get offended. I have a master's degree in being offended.
Doctor, I had never had anybody like her in my life, she was the fulfillment of my most lascivious adolescent dreams– but marry her, can she be serious? You see, for all her preening and perfumes, she has a very low opinion of herself, and simultaneously– and here is the source of much of our trouble-a ridiculously high opinion of me. And simultaneously, a very low opinion of me! She is one confused Monkey, and, I'm afraid, not too very bright.
I sat staring, staring, staring - half lost, learning a new language or rather the same language in a different dialect.
