I've had injuries before. They are just obstacles to overcome. — © David Haye
I've had injuries before. They are just obstacles to overcome.
Some of the things I've had to overcome in my past, fighting helped me deal with a lot of struggles. Obstacles in life don't make you a great fighter, but fighting - or, I should say, martial arts - helps you overcome your obstacles.
Remember, success is not measured by heights attained but by obstacles overcome. We're going to pass through many obstacles in our lives: good days, bad days. But the successful person will overcome those obstacles and constantly move forward.
I never had problems with injuries as a kid or in the youth team. My injuries started at Chelsea, when I broke my foot during a pre-season game. That was just pure bad luck, but after that, I had some muscular injuries, too, so I had to get to know my body better.
I admire Brad Pitt, honestly, just because of how he started and the obstacles he had to overcome to have the career that he's had.

It depends on how you deal with those obstacles and how you overcome those obstacles. If you can overcome them, you're a stronger person. If you make mistakes along the way, as long as you never make that same mistake again, you're a successful person.
I've dealt with adversity before, had injuries before. I didn't let that slow me down. It just changed my attitude about the game.
I just wanted to be who I was, which was like so many other girls I knew. We grew up in the city, had a hard edge and obstacles to overcome, but we were still young and beautiful. I didn't want to be all dressed up, all made up - I wanted to be myself, which hadn't been done before.
As a person with cerebral palsy who walks with crutches, people have the assumption that I've had to overcome a lot of obstacles in my life because of it, and to some degree, I have. However, the most difficult obstacle to overcome is other people's perception of who a person with a disability is.
The best people I know have had a lot of obstacles to overcome.
I have faced many different obstacles in my life, and have always maintained a strong belief that no matter the circumstances, I could overcome those obstacles.
Success is a tale of obstacles overcome, and for every obstacle overcome, an excuse not used.
I guess, the hardest obstacles I've had to overcome in my life are deaths of people close to me.
It would be great to not have any injuries and just go out and play football and have fun ... But in life there are adversities, and it all just depends on how you overcome them.
Greatness finds us by obstacles in front of us. I don’t look at hurdles as obstacles blocking my path but opportunities to overcome.
