I shouldn't have to be a liar to make someone love me. I shouldn't be so afraid of losing someone that I'll do anything to make them stay. — © Deb Caletti
I shouldn't have to be a liar to make someone love me. I shouldn't be so afraid of losing someone that I'll do anything to make them stay.
I wrote 'Song Like You' the day I recognized that someone who was really important to me was not actually very good for me, nor was I for them. I think we all have to make hard decisions like that at one point or another, having to let go of someone who we love because love isn't always enough to make it work.
?We need someone to get the room?s attention,? I said. ?Someone not afraid to make a spectacle—I mean, besides me, of course.?
I was always someone who didn't ever think of boundaries when I was in love with someone. But 2020 has taught me that perhaps it's best to make some and stick to them.
Someone once told me not to be afraid of being afraid, because, as she said, 'Anxiety is a glimpse of your own daring.' Isn't that great? It means that part of your agitation is just excitement about what you're getting ready to accomplish. Don't sell yourself short by being so afraid of failure that you don't dare to make any mistakes. Make your mistakes and learn from them. And remember: No matter how many mistakes you make, your mother always loves you!
Be loved. Be known. Love people and know people. Be so brave as to raise a hand for help when you need it. Make friends and make sure they know they matter. Be loyal to them and fight for them. Remind them what’s true and invite them to do the same when you forget. If you do some losing or you walk with someone else in their defeat, live with dignity and grace. It is the middle finger to the darkness.
Baptists never make love standing up. They're afraid someone might see them and think they're dancing.
If someone wants to be a part of your life, They'll make an effort to be in it. So don't bother reserving a space in your heart for someone Who doesn't make an effort to stay. ERASING someone from your mind is so easy... But REMOVING the same person from your heart is ANOTHER STORY. Pin It Love can sometimes be magic. But magic can sometimes... just be an illusion.
Losing someone we love, or the fear of losing someone we love one day is a difficult experience and we can all relate to it. None of us are an exception to this reality.
There is no greater feeling of accomplishment than to create a world that solely exists in your imagination and be able to pull someone into this hidden place inside of my thoughts. To make someone care for a person that has manifested from my dreams, to make them hate me for putting them in danger, and for them to ask to be taken on another journey with me when it is all said and done is why I write.
Yes - I agree that 'Love Foolish' is very similar to 'Make Me Go,' however, the message is different. 'Love Foolish' follows a story of someone who falls in love, whereas, 'Make Me Go' is a story of someone who wants to find love!
I think the mistake that people make often times is you just lose touch of reality and you have to never be afraid to call someone's bullshit or call someone's bluff when something doesn't make sense.
You have to be different to make a difference. You cannot change anything by adding more of the same. The greatest spiritual impact is made upon people by someone who is different from them. Others must see someone like Christ in us –- not someone like the rest of the world –- if we are to have any godly influence on them.
If you want to liberate someone, love them. Not be in love with them - that's dangerous. If you're in love with your children, you're in their lives all the time. Leave them alone! Let them grow and make some mistakes. Tell them, "You can come home. My arms are here - and my mouth is too." When you really love them, you don't want to possess them. You don't say, "I love you and I want you here with me."
Sometimes you can be with someone that you love, but you know it's not healthy for you. You stay with them because you can't stand the thought of them being with someone else. It kills you.
I love someone who can make me laugh. And someone who's secure - I think that's sexy.
Love is tested in so many ways. How do I articulate this? Two people are together. There are stakes, strife, struggles, all these things that make us fall for someone, love someone even more, leave someone.
