I'd like to do 'Strictly' because you learn something.
I like to do things where you do learn something and go on a journey, such as 'Strictly Come Dancing.'
If it's strictly comedy, I like to bring some darkness to it. If it's strictly drama, I always like to lighten it up as well. I like to find some kind of dimension and make my characters human, so that it doesn't feel like a sketch and feels more like a slice of life.
Strictly' is so positive, we have so much fun doing a show like 'Strictly,' you don't have to worry.
What I loved about 'Strictly' as a viewer and contestant was that it was warm, family entertainment. So it is a shame for the show when controversy surrounds it. That is not what we like about 'Strictly.'
I don't read reviews, and it's not because I don't think I can learn something, I'm sure I could learn a lot. I just that I feel very passionately about the work and especially when you're doing theater, you really only need one director and when you read reviews, you feel like you have twelve, because you respond to them, naturally.
In regard to music, I just think that it's always best to have an attitude of being a perpetual student and always look to learn something new about music, because there's always something new to learn. Don't dismiss something out of hand because you think it's either beneath you or outside of the realm of where your interests lie.
My mother wanted me to take piano lessons, but I never wanted to, because that is something you have to learn, like you have to learn to type, and to me, that has nothing to do with music.
Job's avoidance of rebellion against God has nothing to do with God being good or wise or anything like that; it's strictly because God is so powerful, and you don't fight something when you are so much weaker than that which you would fight.
I like 'Strictly' because it is warm, glamourous, and brings families together.
I loved being a part of 'Celebrity MasterChef.' The process was scary and I was so out of my comfort zone but I've learnt so much. Doing something I'd never done before put me in the position of the celebs on 'Strictly' and because of that experience, I think i'll be a better teacher because of it.
I learn something from criticism because when it comes from sources you respect you always examine it and learn.
If I was strictly an artist, I'd have to learn to dance and get a shiny suit and stuff.
The music has generated all the techniques I use. When I sit down to learn to play something . . . it is not because I want to master a technique. It is because I want to hear what an idea sounds like.
I think whoever does sign up to 'Strictly,' I feel like it's such an amazing show because they want to be there.
You can learn something from everyone in 'Game of Thrones,' whether it is something you learn not to do or something you learn to do.
We have never been strictly political, only strictly funny.
