A Quote by Dennis Haysbert

There's part of it when Manute has both eyes. And the character was actually fleshed out a lot more, in this movie. I got to show people who Manute is and why he is and how devout he is. He is Ava's protector and punisher.
I'm taller than Manute. I don't know if he's shrunk, or I've grown or whatnot, but we measured up side to side, and I'm taller. I don't think Manute's 7-7. I don't think he's barely 7-6.
Africans are not as tall as northern Europeans. But Manute Vol and other sports figures in basketball and football receive a lot of press coverage.
Manute Bol taught my family the game of basketball.
Didn't the other guys tell you? Nobody dunks on Manute B-O-L!
At the end of the day, it's a show [Daredevil ] not about a superhero, but it's about a man. Hopefully, that's what we're doing with The Punisher, as well. It's an enormous honor to play this character. It's a character that's quite iconic and very important to a lot of people.
The best thing I learned from Manute was to be selfless. He was always about his people. He was about helping others.
I'd like to get around 7-7, be as tall as Manute Bol, and someday block his shot.
It was great for that to be my first movie with such a wonderful cast, and such a huge movie. And now I get to do The Fighting Temptations, which is coming out soon-it wasn't much of a character, it was more of a real person, so I got to show more of my acting range.
I knew that they were going to be reading actors for Manute, and I wanted to give it a shot. I wanted a shot to do it, and they embraced that and said, "All right, come on in. Let's see what you've got." So, I went in, and the rest is history. It felt good when I went into the office, and it just worked.
It wasn't like this happy-go-lucky experience, shooting Norman movie. It was something I kind of had to, sort of dedicate a certain level of focus and energy to kind of just stay in this headspace that would allow me to access - because it's also a very emotional movie at times. This was the first time I ever played a real character, a fully fleshed out, dimensionalized, multi-faceted character, as opposed to a part. There's not very much opportunity for somebody of my age and my look, so for a character-driven piece like this to come along is a rare thing.
Manute Bol is so skinny they save money on road trips. They just fax him from city to city.
Manute Bol was one of the guys who taught me to be bold. To be fierce. To speak intelligently, and speak like you belong.
My favorite new character isn't new, but more fleshed out - Gadd, the alekeep at the Tunnel. He's got him some teeth and tats. His history is hinted at in Discourse, and I plan to explore it more in later books.
I've kind of gotten mad over the years, reading different Punisher stories and seeing multiple Punisher movies. Nobody gets the character right.
My solo show, 'A Lot More Me,' is part drag show, part burlesque show, part circus show, and part fashion show.
You can't actually hire and fire people inside of an open source community. Which means that getting people to work together is much more along the lines of making sure that people have the tools they need both to get their work done but also to know what is being done by other people and how to take that to their employer and tell that story to their employer and to show this is why the community is good and this is why we're working on these sort of things because it helps us over here.
