I always try to take from past performances. You never try to get too high or too low. Just play every game, just treat every game like it's the same.
I've always been taught to play the game hard. Baseball is such a tough game, it really humbles you at times, you just have to try not to get too high or too low.
If I have a great game, I don't get too high. If I have a terrible game, I don't get too low. I know that there's more to this life and we were created for more than just to play a game.
I really don't (stay calm) all the time. I just try to. Part of not just racing but in life, I try not to let the highs be too high and the lows be too low. I try to stay somewhere right in the middle. In racing it's not always easy to do. You can get too excited or overconfident when things are going good and it's easy to get too far in the ditch when things are going bad.
Every decision I've made in my career was just to play, to try and get as much game-time as possible. I can't say I've got too many regrets.
I try not to think about that [getting Oscar] ahead of time. You just try to do the best work you can, and then you get the movie out there, and we've been hearing good things. But you never know, you don't want to get too high, and you don't want to get too low.
I just try to play every game like it's Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
I could make Halo. It’s not that I couldn’t design that game. It’s just that I choose not to. One thing about my game design is that I never try to look for what people want and then try to make that game design. I always try to create new experiences that are fun to play.
That's what keeps me humble because I know my background, know what my mother went through. I never get too high on my stardom or what I can do. My mom always says and my friends all say, ’You're just a very low-maintenance guy’. I don't need too much. Glamour and all that stuff don't excite me. I am just glad I have the game of basketball in my life.
I try to let my highs not be too high and my lows not be too low. And I do that just because I try to control my emotions.
I try to model my game from just a lot of people. If I like something from someone's game, I'll try to take it and just add it to mine.
You've just got to take every game in stride and play every game like it's your last.
For me, I know the game is a humbling game, so I don't get too high or too low.
We're just going to come out and play. We know that we're supposed to win all the games, but if we don't, we just have to take the next game and focus on what we did wrong in the game before and just try to do better at the next game.
I try never to get too high when things are going well. I try never to get too low when things are going poorly. I try to keep an even keel.
I get the normal stats, like tackles and pass completion and high-intensity runs. I get them after every game to see how similar they are to every game and to make sure I'm hitting the targets - or not too far away from them.
You don't think about anything because you just try to playevery game, every point. If you get some chance, you try to take this chance.
