You can never, never have too many books — © Drew Barrymore
You can never, never have too many books
It's impossible to say a thing exactly the way it was, because of what you say can never be exact, you always have to leave something out, there are too many parts, sides, crosscurrents, nuances; too many gestures, which could mean this or that, too many shapes which can never be fully described, too many flavors, in the air or on the tongue, half-colors, too many.
One can never have too many books.
The bands I like, they don't sell too many records and the girls I like, they don't kiss too many boys. Books I read will never be bestsellers yeah but come on fellas at least we made our choice.
And tell them all about the books you've read. Better still, buy some more books and read them. That's an order. You can never read too many books.
A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition
A child can have too many toys, but never enough books.
There never yet have been, nor are there now, too many good books.
Never too old, never too bad, never too late, never too sick to start from scratch once again.
One can never read too little of bad, or too much of good books: bad books are intellectual poison; they destroy the mind. In order to read what is good one must make it a condition never to read what is bad; for life is short, and both time and strength limited.
I can't imagine a home without an overflow of books. The point of books is to have way too many but to always feel you never have enough, or the right one at the right moment, but then sometimes to find you'd longed to fall asleep reading the Aspern Papers, and there it is.
The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry our their dream.
Ebooks have many advantages - publishers don't have to make guesses about how many books to print, books need never go "out of print", and hard-to-find books can be easily available. So far, the only limitation seems to be finding a way for the writer to be paid.
I never read too many comic books when I was growing up, but I think everyone loved Wolverine, you know what I'm saying?
I'm a writer. I never expected to be recognised on the street. I never expected to get that kind of coverage, good or bad. I never expected to sell as many books as I have.
Corliss had never once considered the fate of library books. She'd never wondered how many books go unread. She loved books. How could she not worry about the unread? She felt like a disorganized scholar, an inconsiderate lover, an abusive mother, and a cowardly soldier.
How can there be too many typefaces in the world? Are there too many songs, too many books, too many places to go?
